Does the prison guard bot also clobber inmates for smarting off and occasionally select someone out of the drunk tank to cornhole?

The mistake that the guy made when going against Titan was that he only had one popped collar. You need at least 3 popped collars before you go up against a robot. Addition

Well, at least the prison bot looks like it would be easy to wipe down to clean off all the feces and bodily fluids flung at it.

If one's computer skill his high enough, all one has to do is sneak up behind them and put them in a permanent shutdown state.

If not, get ready for a fight.

Don't be silly.

Warriors don't have to practice good judgement. They just have to answer after the fact if they go crazy.

An exo suit can have an automated turret mounted on it, too. So the suit's attacking everyone who doesn't have the right RDIF chit and the pilot's operating a .50 cal machine gun or some other overly large weapon humans can't normally wield like it was a .22 with the robotic muscles and augmented HUD display in three spectrums with Dethklok blaring on the speakers. A 10' high mobile light tank with the ability to ahnilate anyone who hasn't got anti-armor weapons.

Hell, you could stud the exosuit with drone guns controlled by fatbodies like me remotely watching the rear. 360 multiple sets of eyes.

Not to imply that most soldiers aren't decent people, but who said anything about "Good" Judgement?

Judgement of some form means a real warrior can often be negotiated with or at least understood for his human frailties. He would know the difference between a pillbox and a hospital and could at least try to deal with moral dilemmas (like what to do when the enemy's turned a known hospital into an impromptu pillbox).

Automated machines don't have any of that.
The only decision any human ever made was to release this thing into the bush six months ago, where it bounced around like a roomba of doom, until you crossed paths and tripped its invisible murder switch.
You will never meet a sympathetic landmine. It doesn't ponder the meaning of war or take bathroom breaks. It activates the instant something meeting its expectations arrives.
Man?
Goat?
Little orphan kid carrying a box of kittens?
It doesn't care. It has all the judgement skills of a mousetrap.

/You could use an exo suit to carry automated guns.
/but if the pilot never uses his judgement to control those weapons (because they will act before he can think) what good is he?
/He's just a man carrying a robot.

A guy in an exosuit costume is not.

By the sound track, the South Korean gun sentry seems programmed to track Pirates of the Caribbean.

I've seen robot costumes like Titan. I tried talking to the operator of one about why he built it and what he gets out of operating it. You know what? He couldn't really articulate a reason other than it was fun/cool. That's certainly valid. However, I couldn't help but get a vibe that this guy was really another variation on the furry.

Titan was probably built on a motion capture film project at the college. The "wrom-wrom-wrom" of the steps were the same volume regardless of distance. Security guards to cordon off the area so only people "in" on the project would be present.

If such a robot was in the field I would have heard about it. Especially since it would require a remarkable power supply. Currently the exosuit projects are unable to self contain a power supply without resorting to internal combustion engines.

Pretty sure it was a guy in a robot suit in a theme park, with the sounds projected over loudspeakers as he put on his little show.

Not sure that the article writer understands things that are dangerous from things that pose little to not threat.

Robo prison guard appears to have no weapons and is slow. Although arguably it could call for human backup, the robot itself would be quite easily disabled by a human.

Big dog, whilst awesome is again not greatly dangerous to a human. Perhaps more dangerous than the prison guard bot since big dog is quicker and probably would hurt if it hit someone in a full on charge. But again, it has no weapons. And I don't think it could get up on it's own if fully knocked onto it's side.

As for titan, aside from not actually being a robot, I'd be willing to bet that it doesn't actually make the user all that much stronger. I doubt it's like the power suits that the military are working on that allow the user to lift great weights. I bet if someone tried he could push it down pretty easy and then the guy inside would be screwed.

I'm probably over thinking but when I read the headline I was expecting really cool robots that actually were dangerous. Very few of those in the article were dangerous to humans so it was kinda dissapointing.

Absolutely! Whoever's inside there probably has to go in a diaper like astronauts in a spacesuit do. There's no way for the smell to escape. Imagine what that'll do to his temper.

I love it when I get the smackdown that the video has not been made available for embedding and to go watch it on YouTube only to get there and find that it isn't available on mobile.

Look up "Cyberstein". That's his original name. It's a guy in a costume that does street fairs and parties for hire.
