The reason billionaires like the Koch brothers fear the UN is because it's a distant authority they can't currently buy. If the UN pressures the US to improve environmental regulations or force it's companies to stop exploiting children in a foreign land, the Koch brothers and other organizations can't buy their way out of the situation. They must drum up hatred of the UN within the US so that our legislators will fear creating international alliances to solve world problems. US corporations exploit the resources and the populations of foreign nations for profit. Organizations like the UN attempt to stop corporate practices which pollute, enslave or exploit the poor, etc, etc.. This is a threat to those who make billions from such actions.

People like the Koch brothers who were peripheral in creation of the John Birch society (their father was involved in the founding of it) and the spread of poisoned philosophies like Objectivism and it's worship of greed and selfishness don't want to see the UN succeed in it's mission of a greater good. Ayn Rands philosophy of Objectivism is the creed of those devoid of all compassion and conscience and it's little more than the worship of wealth.

While at opposite ends of the political spectrum communism and Objectivism are equally destructive to society. The Koch brothers and others like them are just as dangerous to America as any Communist leader such as Castro, Chavez, etc.

I hate the UN because it's run by the same sort of greedy, corrupt pieces of shiat that run the US government. They would rather see millions (MILLIONS) of human beings die due to war, poverty, disease, or any other imagineable cause than to take the LEADERS of nations that allow such atrocities and bang their heads against a wall until they are dead. They are more interested in the APPEARANCE of caring about human rights than true human rights. They care about political hand-shaking than human rights.

Republicants hate the UN because, liberalism, or whatever. I hate the UN because it still uses the Cold War playbook when it comes to addressing international human rights issues.
