Now can we see about getting the trustees that put Paterno out to dry in with Sandusky as well?

"Well, you might think that. I don't know and in terms of, uh, um, my relationship with so many, many young people um, I would, I would guess that there are many young people who would come forward, many more young people who would come forward and say that my methods and what I had done for them made a very positive impact on their life and I didn't go around seeking out every young person for sexual needs that I've helped. There are many that I didn't have, I hardly had any contact with who I have helped in many, many ways."

I dunno, but I'd put money that he went 69 with 8 year olds.

Coco LaFemme: Christ, subtard, I've seen no less than 15 people on my Twitter timeline make the same hackneyed joke that was made when he was first arrested.

On to what's important, though. Sandusky will die in prison. That may not be the fate he deserves, but it's what he'll get. By that I mean, he really should be torn to pieces by wild dogs and then buried in a lime-lined pit, but that's not how we do things here.

Wild dogs would be too quick; our way is both more civilized and more cruel.

Seth, don't feed trolls. Haters gonna hate. But there's literally tens of thousands of people who know better about Joe Pa. Someone on the internet tries to spread lies, best not to even engage. The truth is poor soil for the seeds of ignorance.

TuteTibiImperes: This is really the only outcome that could have come from this.

Now, after showing monumental incompetence, does Amendola ever get hired for a serious case again?

How Screwed is Penn State for the upcoming civil suits?

From what I heard, Amendola mainly did DUI cases for Penn State students to begin with. Don't mistake him for a Johnny Cochrane.

Biness: WTFDYW: I hope that it doesn't come out that the jury heard about Matt Sanduskys readiness to testify that he had been molested also. We'll have a re-do if they did hear about it and said that it had an effect on their decision. You can bet your ass that the defense lawyers will be bugging the hell out of them for this tid bit. All it will take is for one juror to say that he/she heard about it.

It would still have to make a material difference, and that seems unlikely, on the whole

wouldn't it be a contaminated jury if they learned of this? they are talking about this on the radio now. A REAL lawyer is talking about the very thing i just posted.

The university has tried to move on. Despite the relentless stream of bad publicity, applications to Penn State rose more than 1 percent to a record 116,595 this year. The number of donors to the university will also increase: Penn State projects that, by the end of the month, it will have had a total of 190,000 donors within the last year, up more than 6,000 from the same period the previous year. (The financial totals from this year's donations are not yet known.) The number of applicants to the Penn State law school did fall nearly 30 percent, to 3,458 from 4,848, outpacing the national downturn in law school applications.Link

My point was that Paterno was drummed out by the trustees as a sort of firewall against any action above him.

He'll never see the general population in prison. He'll get to write his autobiography and eat Wheat Thins or whatever-in-the-hell child molesters eat and die of a heart attack in 10 -12 years.

Yea, I'm an attorney and I've appealed many cases. It has to make a material difference. If he would have been convicted anyway, doesn't matter.

Now ineffective counsel...that might work here.

Holy fark, Lawyerin' Joe Amendola is a walking train wreck in this interview. When told that he was going to be on live TV, he seriously asked, "with someone cute? "
