Take a disposable pie plate and sink it into the ground so that the rim is at ground level. Fill it with warm Pabst Blue Ribbon. Wait.

Your garden will be slug-free and you will have the peace of mind of knowing they all died really happy, being the only ones who actually enjoy Pabst Blue Ribbon.

If you have chickens, dump the pie plates before you let them out. Trust me, drunk chickens are not a pretty sight.

We used Rainier Beer or Olympia (It's the WATER, meh). All you need to do is dump out the bottle to the point where you can lie the bottle flat on the ground or tilted slightly up without the remainder running out. Leave those in the garden for a day and the bottles are fulla drunk-ass slugs. Just pick them up and toss in the garbage can.

We have these really cool, jet-black slugs in the swampland around my place. The compost pile never needs emptying in the springtime. Theres bazillions of them.

That works, however you have to keep on doing it. Mother Nature has an infinite supply of slugs around here. "Slug-free" just doesn't apply.

When I first moved here the slugs freaked me out. Seeing your first giant slug is something you never forget. I'm pretty "meh" about them now. Still kinda gross but I can deal.

We have a family of Slugs living under a bucket next to our back step. They come out every night, and we make it a point to feed and water them. They LOVE dry cat food that has been moistened until it is slightly mushy. During the days, we make sure that the bucket is shaded, and we dump cups of water all around their living space so that they don't dry out.

It is fun getting a magnifying glass at night and using it to see them up close while they are eating. I would swear that they appreciate the fact that we take care of them.

I am an Animal and Insect lover-(Most insects anyways), and will go out of my way to accommodate them as long as they don't destroy anything or get into the house. Even then I will just scoop them up and bring them back outside.

Our back yard is a menagerie with many types of wildlife.

It feels good helping out all creatures, even if they are ugly, slimy and gooey.
