I like it--especially if my wife insists I take her to the ballet. It would be a perfect vehicle for such tasks.

Does anyone with Photoshop want to give the thing a new paint job to show what it would look like properly finished?

SoxSweepAgain: I think it's kinda cool. Imagine getting in there and finishing out the body professionally and painting it properly, and taking a look at the mechanical and interior (and A/C, apparently).

It'd be fun to drive if finished properly. Certainly would get a lot of attention from car people.

This thing is a work in progress.

Nope, not that drunk yet.

Actually, with a little work, like a smoother transition from the back of the truck cab to the car's roof, and a paint job, it's be kinda' cool. I'd love to see it if anyone actually finishes it. (I know. My redneck is showing.)

And here I've been telling people that duct tape is called chrome Kentucky like it's joke, not a fact. This is proof positive I have been wrong all this time. I'm sorry.

Someone should complete it and pimp it out just because of the sheer wrongness of it. It's so wrong it's almost compelling.

Obviously, it's an honest, sane man's car. Because nobody in their right mind is going to give any thought to committing a crime and trying to get away in that.

I'm not into cars and such, but those flap things that cover the engine seem way too long. Wouldn't they have adjusted those? I mean, it's not like they drive with the engine section open, right? It's almost like this car was staged for a photograph.

Arachnophobe: I was close, thinking it would be some Frankenstein-y creation. But I'm disappointed it isn't a horrible grafting of some of the worst cars ever. Like, slap together parts of a Pacer, a Pinto, a Yugo, and an Edsel. Something like that could almost be called art if it were done well.

I'd say the Grand Am is right up there with the Pinto, Yugo, et al.

Here is a tip for you future car builders out there- if you ever have to sell a project like this, invest in $10 woth of cheap spray primer and paint it so it looks halfway decent from 50 yards away.

Granted it is not precision work, but someone put some serious time and probably a little bit of money into this, and it is silly of him not to spend an extra 45 minutes with some spray cans at this stage of the game.

In order to prime it, you would have to sand off the clear coat first. That, as you might suspect, is quite time consuming... it'd piss off any potential buyers if you just sprayed it on, since you've created extra work for them.
