Fark Me To Tears: [i725.photobucket.com image 640x345]I prefer the loops on the old Johnny Lightning Cyclone track. Now that would be a cool thing to see in full scale/real life.
MrEricSir: Wake me up when they ditch Hot Wheels and get one of those insane Darda loops.
BigRightRear: Great, another 'stunt' that requires no skill./unless you consider driving straight a skill
Benjimin_Dover: Absolutely it is totally safe. Did you not see the frickin safety net in it?
ChrisDe: Benjimin_Dover: Absolutely it is totally safe. Did you not see the frickin safety net in it?Don't start. I'm still upset that the Niagara Falls guy had an ankle tether.
Electrode: Did anyone else instinctively start humming the theme from Hard Drivin' upon reading this headline?
Riche: [i181.photobucket.com image 340x256]They should have loops and jumps and crazy lights on every NASCAR race./god I locked that cheeseball movie!// too bad it tanked at the box office///also, too bad LSD is illegal.
Fano: Electrode: Did anyone else instinctively start humming the theme from Hard Drivin' upon reading this headline?I sure didThen I started thinking about someone building a real criss cross crash.
gweilo8888: FTFA: "Mr McKay added: 'When you drive through the loop and you turn towards the center and there's an outward force, and having the right amount of force allows you to go upside down without falling."[img585.imageshack.us image 400x350]I personally believe that Hot Wheels are unable to do loops because, uh, some, uh. . . cars out there in our nation don't have gravity and, uh, I believe that our, uh, racing like such as in hammerhead turns and, uh, the corkscrew, every stunt like such as, and, I believe that they should, our racing over HERE in Hot Wheels should help the real cars, uh, or, uh, should help hammerhead turns and should help the corkscrew and the Immelman, so we will be able to build up our future, for our stunt drivers.
Jon iz teh kewl: what's a car
Abox: Fark Me To Tears: [i725.photobucket.com image 640x345]I prefer the loops on the old Johnny Lightning Cyclone track. Now that would be a cool thing to see in full scale/real life. That looks like slot cars. Hotwheels or matchbox tracks was all gravity...you had to start on the top floor and run down the stairs. The track pieces connected with little red connector tongues.

a far candle: Zero g at the top, radius of 30 ft,v^2 / r = gv^2/30 = 32v ~- 30 ft/sec = 20 mph at the top butmgh = 1/2 m v^2 going down so addv = sqrt(2 g h) = sqrt(2(32)(30)) ~= 44 ft/sec = 30 mphso 30 mph + 20 mph = 50 mph going in.G-forces at the bottomg = v^2 / r = (44 + 30)^2/30 ~= 180 ~= 5.7 g's./Wait, this is slashdot right?
