In actuality, no. It was released before the modern day American film ratings system was set in motion. So, like all films of its era, it was released to theaters sans any rating at all. It was only after the MPAA/CARA was set in motion (juuuuust following 2001 being first released to theaters) that it was submitted for a rating and rated "G" (a rating it holds to this day).
