I have a "full grown" Basset Hound and if I brought her to work she would spend 7 and a half hours looking for the perfect place to poop. Then she would poop.

She's been an office dog for 3 years.

Wish I could, but he'd just run at full speed from cube to cube for 8 hours straight. He'd stop only to occasionally pick something up and poke someone with it until they agreed to try and play tug of war with him with it - even if it was no good to play tug of war with, like a tennis ball or something.

But... my little puppy is getting a little older and more mature now! My wife left him out of his crate when she went to work, for the first time ever yesterday. And all of our stuff survived!! We usually give him a "busy rollhide" treat when we put him in his crate in the morning, and he even saved the treat to eat later. He finally ate it when I got home and was busy changing out of my work clothes. What a good boy!!

my girlfriend's dog is a basset hound. Thankfully it's not the kind that howls all night, but sometimes I wish it was "take you dog to the middle of nowhere and leave them" day.

it would be a toss up with mine. Sometimes he just rolls around and sleeps but about once a day for about 1/2 hour he just goes crazy and gets into everything, runs around barking, howling. He gets 2 really long walks everyday but that doesn't help at all. If one of those times were at my job it would be a disaster

I remember that day too.
Was quite a relief when I got home.

Actually my day is the opposite of take your dog to work day. My wife is out of town so I have to rush home on my lunch break to let him outside to walk around before putting him back inside and rushing back to work. Somewhere in there I have to find time to eat a salad.

Yup. Perfect office dog... he is very good at adjusting his energy level for the situation and is making lots of friends! I think my coworkers will be sad when he's gone next week.

Anyway, you over-the-top dog people that expect the rest of the world to fawn over your dog the way you do and who treat a dog as if it's human are just as ridiculous and idiotic as those helicopter parents who dote over their precious snowflakes' every move and bore you to death with stories and pictures of their brain-dead publicly-educated kids.

I was curious about what kind of Farker comes into a dog thread to hate on animal lovers.
