Baltimore is the shiathole's shiathole. I love how most DC people will tell me, "I like Baltimore. It's got more of a blue collar feel than DC."
"Uh huh. So would you live there?"
crickets

Is this a Baltimore thing?

so suddenly everyone who doesn't match this blogger's ideal of what people are supposed to look like is a junkie? It seems more like they have some creepy fascination with heroin. plus the blog is not really that funny, and just makes the creator seem like a prejudiced asshole.

jigger: Detroit is Baltimore's shiathole's shiathole' s lower colon. I love how most DC people will tell me, "I like Baltimore Love Detroit. I used to live there. It's got more of a blue collar feel than DC anywhere else in the US."
"Uh huh. So would you live drive through there in a fully loaded M1A1 Abrams??"
crickets

What's the point of this greenlight? It's a stupid blog attempting to make fun of a sad phenomenon, and the descriptions aren't even funny or sharp.

If it would be proper street photography with social commentary, backgrounds of the neighbourhood and people involved etc, it could be something of value, but just making a blog about other people's misery and poking fun at it rather pathetic.

has anyone realized that misery is not actually a word
but a gay
cause it's gay

Remember.

This is what gets a greenlight. Not the actually funny or informative shiat you send in.

You have to love some of these white douche bag suburbanites blogs. They like to point out the human wrecks and think they are showing us something unique or edgey. For those of us who work and live around shiat like this we really don't understand what the big deal is and why you are scared of urban life.

Lot of butthurt in this thread already.

Stupid that it got green-lit, but I have to laugh at the presumptuous little ragers waxing pious over this guy's alleged prejudice.

Junkies are shiat. Maybe they have a problem and maybe that's unfortunate and you'd like to help them. Ever actually try to help a junkie? Your mileage may vary on that one.

You can't "help" an addict. They can only help themselves. You're only deluding yourself if you think you can 'help" an addict. The end result of anyone trying to "help" an addict is disappointment and heartbreak.

Yes, that was my point.

I was agreeing with you. I think some people here don't understand antipathy towards addicts. Anyone that has personal experience with an addict understands.

What pompous arsehole this "blogger" is. Addiction is not a joke. He/she might as well make a blog about how cancer patients are bad dressers. Yeah, addiction is a result of deliberate bad choices unlike cancer in most cases; however, what good does it do to publicly shame people at their lowest? I hope the shiat stain blogger ends up with a junkie son or sister. People don't see how warped their thinking is until it hits close to home.

Yes. When I was younger, dumber, and less jaded. Robbed me blind in a series of "Dude, I went to the store and someone broke in!" episodes. Taught me a valuable lesson, that did.

/your point. I know.

I learned to never help the junkies in Charlotte, NC. I was working for Rent A Center (yeah, I know, I'm an asshole) and went to a manager's convention in Charlotte. The room that they had booked me at was a crappy motel that was in the airport district. Very nice place called the Days Inn. I had brought a girl with me to impress her with my manager cred and it all started to fall apart upon our arrival. Some guy came up and asked for a smoke since I was smoking a cig. I gave him one. He left, we went to our room. Two minutes later...knock knock...."Hey man do you got any beer?" I did but told him I had none. He proceeded to tell me about how he could take me to a store that sold beer. I told him thanks but no thanks and shut the door. Less than two minutes later some other dude knocks on the door and says that his buddy told him I "gots" some smokes and need to go get some beer.

We packed and left, spent a lot of money on a last second room at the Park Hotel and I never looked back.

/won't make that mistake again

Lighten up Francis.

I've known more than my fair share of drug and alcoholic addicts in my lifetime...and if they're good for anything it's showing how pathetic addiction really is. Show an addict a before and after picture and see if it really gets to them. If it hasn't, they haven't bottomed out yet.
