The Weather guy on local news (it's a Cleveland station) just went "And people believe the rain just started right as LeBron won it", then he gave the weather ending with our heat wave end before getting depressed and going "And it looks like the Heat have finally broken...here in Cleveland I guess"

roflmaonow: LOL Anti Lebron headlines.

That's pretty funny.

robsul82: Yes indeed.

Inspired by LeBron's reading before games, I decided to pick up a few basketball books before the Finals to read during pre-game and to have in my hands during the games to read instead of threads. Jordan was way worse as a person than LeBron ever was, just a hell of a lot better at maintaining an image.

/first I read Breaks of the Game
//over halfway through The Jordan Rules
///next is...dammit, I forget what it's called...the one by the guy who wrote the former about the guy featured in the latter

Miller from South Dakota
Chalmers from Alaska

Go team "remote locations of the U.S.!"

robsul82: Also a very good book.

Gah I don't want a third Jordan book.

I would like some current teams covered in book form, though. These last couple of Heat teams, if they had a good writer with them everywhere, would make a hell of a book. We could learn about the unification and how all that worked. Who wouldn't be down for seeing that behind-the-scenes?

The Wade-James uneasy relationship would carry that book along with Bosh getting lost in the shuffle. Is there a great southeast sports writer? Not being snarky, I'm just from the North so I know those up here, but don't know if there is someone who could pull off a great book from down there (i.e. is there a big name that when you say it I'll go "dang that is who could have pulled it off")

And all these other books have great backstory for the role players - the Heat role players have some awesome backstories - from rookies like Cole stepping in and being huge to all the vets who have been everywhere like Battier, Miller, Turiaf, etc.

I'm interested in learning more about Chalmers, too.

/holy sh*t kids look even tinier when held by 6'11" dudes

Yeah. Hes really hurting. Wildly awesome year for his franchise and making money hand over fist. DAMN YOU KARMA!

For all those Seattle fans that think OKC fans are cryin in their cheerios right now, the OKC airport has a major traffic jam from the people who are going out there to greet the team. We arent sad, we are very happy with this season.

Yeah, I was going to point out that's really not something to scream "Karma!" about.

"Haha you're virtually a god in your home state and you have a basketball team that just made the Finals, all your important players are still under contract for another year, at least, and you're basically in charge of whether or not we receive another team to replace the one you took. Man, it must suck to be you!"

Well...OKC fans are kind of new to having any kind of pro sports team...but I'm not sure you guys can handle it, by looking at this video...

Typical OKC fan right now
