coolio mack: Gunny Highway: redmid17: Gunny Highway: So has Harden been exposed or is he just having a bad series.

The Thunder are still a few years and a player or two away. It isn't easy to win a title. All this shiat is good for these kids.

The Thunder are a few years away from either Harden or Westbrook playing for another team

Didn't he sign a 5 year deal?

Yeah Westbrook is there. The decision will come down to Harden and Ibaka, and I'm sure they'll take Ibaka. 23 years old with a developing offensive game and a guy whos led the league in blocks 2 years in a row. He'll also be cheaper than Harden as well.

I think Harden gets in the neighborhood of 5 years/60 million from another team.

I think Harden has been exposed. He will get paid but he isn't the answer.

Guarding LeBron may have something to do with that

Mind of the North Star: fark Spoelstra. i could have coached the Heat to atlest the eastern conference semi finals

Surprisingly, Doc Rivers was a shiatty coach until he had 3 (maybe 4) hall of famers on his team.

/not surprising

SevenizGud: If you had told me the Heat would shoot 90% from 3, I would have told you they would probably win.

Funny thing is, if you'd have said the Heat would have 24 three attempts with 9 minutes left in the game, I'd say most of us would have assumed they'd lose.

I don't think Antoine Walker is making it to the Hall of Fame.

Credit to Miami, they've fought for this.

I hope the loss is bitter in the mouths of the OKC players, because it would be great for them to come storming back to the finals next year.

Why are people still debating LeBron-Jordan, that's not on the table yet. Right now, probably the most serious would be James-Pettit or James vs. Julius. James comes back next year/following, it becomes James-Bryant.

jdvthejd: Neeek: robsul82: MJ won Defensive Player of the Year just to shut people up. Gotdamn.

Back when they gave the award to non-bigs. Seriously, 3.5 times the number of people under 6'10 won it in the first 9 years than in the 21 years since.

So you're saying that James would win it but the DPOY won't go to him because he's only 6-8? Seriously, his athleticism is amazing but he is not as good of a fundamental defender as MJ. He won't win it because he is not DPOY caliber.

I'm saying Jordan would never have a remote chance of getting DPOY in today's league. It just wouldn't happen.

Jordan worshippers are the assholes who always insist shiat was better in the good old days and every year separated from their delusion, the better it gets. LeBron plays in a more talented league and can defend every person in it. You are seeing the result of unselfish play before your eyes. Every criticism about him deferring will never be mentioned as this team continues to develop around him. The days of idolizing "killer instinct" are over. LeBron never let anything change him and it is finally paying off.

2012-06-21 11:28:54 PM

TheJoe03: redmid17: It still doesn't change the fact that Jordan couldn't physically match up to 4s and 5s the way that James can.

So the sole fact that he is bigger makes him (as well as the fact that there was no need for a 2 to guard a 4 or 5 in the 90s) a better defender than Jordan? I can admit he is a better athlete but he is not a better player. This is my last post on the matter.

No, I didn't say he was a better defender. I said that that Jordan couldn't guard large men because they were much larger. Even if there had been 4s or 5s in the 90s for him to guard, he wouldn't have done it as well. James is a bigger, stronger version of Jordan minus the serious personality defects that made Jordan the greatest of all time. I remember Jordan squeezing the life out of the Glove in the finals. Jordan was better with smaller players and James is better with larger players. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

Never heard someone claim that Jordan in his prime would struggle in today's NBA. He would DOMINATE today's NBA, like James dominates it now, but even more so.

TheJoe03: coolio mack: I think Harden gets in the neighborhood of 5 years/60 million from another team.

Where do you think he'll go?

No clue, I just figure a team that misses out on Eric Gordon will make him their second priority as a guard. Indiana immediately comes to mind.

Harden is from LA and I'm a Lakers fan. I'd do Harden and Collison or Sefolosha for Pau Gasol if Harden signed longterm. I'd try to play him at the point with Kobe and move him to the 2 when Kobe retires. I don't know if Harden can play the point defensively though.

Instead of a 5th down, they need the elusive 5th quarter ref mistake. That hasn't happened since the old Barnburners-Lakers game in 56.

But a worse shooter and defender. Jordan had better skills, LeBron's athleticism doesn't make him better, plus it isn't like Jordan was that far behind in that category.
