Di Atribe: Sigh. Guess I gotta take my Mavs championship picture out of my profile now. BIG SIGH

IAmRight: /lol @ people still saying the Thunder are a better team than the Heat after this beatdown

Nobody said that, you big dummy. Did you see the game we were playing in your absence?

I did say that. The 4-1 result is frankly shocking. I am amazed at how bad everyone but Westbrook and Durant played over the series. And Westbrook and Durant at times, for that matter.

2012-06-21 11:53:38 PM
Wade has to quickly remind LeBron that this is his second championship.

2012-06-21 11:54:17 PM
Well I have to give Lebron some credit - he finally broke through. And I have to give him credit for admitting he was immature in the past - I can't say I was cheering for him to win, but after that admission I don't begrudge him finally winning one.

I still think a healthy (and intact) Celtics team will rout them next year though, but a rematch will definitely be interesting.

Congratulations to Miami. You were the better team in the games played in this series.

/next time I'd like neutral refs though

Gunny Highway: man metaphysical: pissedoffmick: jeez, sportsmanship is great but so so much deep man-hugging going on.

yeah it was getting kind of gay imho

AAU shiat. These guys all know each other.

If you want them to actually hear what you're saying, then you have to be that close.

/hey, the ads are trolling Cleveland!

Nike had that commercial on the backburner for two years didn't they?

redmid17: robsul82: redmid17: Yes. He had 5 championships as a coach and 1 as a player.

So seven, then? Because he'll get one for this one.

Call me a nitpickers, but there is a distinct difference between earning one as as a HC or player and getting one because you're in the front office.

Dude, have you ever tried to win an EA game as the front office only and never actually playing the games? That shiat's hard.

2012-06-21 11:55:17 PM
Let me give props to a guy people will conveniently forget about now that the Heat has won: Erik Spoelstra.

Congrats bud, you're a made man. You got the Heat over the hump and you essentially did it your way. People had you fired after game 3 against the Pacers when Wade yelled at you but you held the team together. This is one for us video guys.

Mind of the North Star: Lebron should thank Rose's ACL

Yeah, they had such problems with the Bulls last year. Bulls might've taken out the Celtics and then made the ECF easier for the Heat.

2012-06-21 11:55:36 PM
That's a lot of shiat on the court all of a sudden.

So much pageantry.

No, bad don't zoom in on Stewart Scott...

It's not that hard with Madden (of course I dismiss cap penalties, so that's a different argument), but I've never tried with other games. NBA/NCAA games are always weird with controls and I could not give two shiats about baseball. FIFA was tough though

::YAWN:: call me when LeBron has 6 rings (Jordon) or even 5 (Kobe). Hell, call me when has 2 like Isiah Thomas. Right now he is just another HOF'er with a ring but 'one of the greatest ever'? Hell no. FFS, he needed to go to a team with a guy that already won one (Wade) to get his.

coolio mack: Let me give props to a guy people will conveniently forget about now that the Heat has won: Erik Spoelstra.

Yup, dude deserves his props. It kinda irks me that he never seems to bring intensity, but it definitely worked. And as a former intern for a sports team myself, it's awesome to see him succeed.

I still think soccer cup presentations are much better. Less owners talking more players rewarding.

When moving goalposts you should lift with your legs, not your back.

or, the Bulls should realize you've got to mail some games in when you play 66 games in 120 days.

Surprised no one's mentioned the lockout yet, lol.

/not me, they don't control the season length and injuries happen, I wish D-Rose's knee stayed together but that's the way it goes

Honestly, good for LeBron, he played his ass off this year. I just hate Wade and Miami fans getting another title, but at least their team earned this one.

2012-06-21 11:58:49 PM
The really bad thing about Miami winning four in a row is that OKC probably didn't print up any championship T shirts.

/Poor African kids....

LeBron's going to fark that trophy.

Dammit how are the Thunder supposed to win unless they're getting double the FTs the Heat are? It's such bullsh*t that the refs aren't falling for every single one of Harden's flops and aren't letting Durant slap the sh*t out of everyone that goes by him on every possession.

2012-06-21 11:59:11 PM

IAmRight: I can't be bothered to wait to read 600+ posts before I come in and express my pent-up joy. You don't understand how hard it is to avoid these threads.

I can understand that! Well, I'm glad you're happy even though I wish it were under better circumstances. You'll figure it out soon enough, I guess. :)

I don't think you want to make "the NBA is just like boxing" comments, Spo. LOL

That trophy better not have and STDs or I'm going to look like a fool with the declaration I made earlier...

Bron Bron wins the Russell.

2012-06-22 12:01:50 AM
I'm glad Mike Miller actually got to contribute to the championship tonight, too.

Hey, maybe that's why LeBron wanted to wear No. 6! That way he can get the MVP trophy from his number buddy!

/now win another gold medal for the ultimate domination of a year: MVP, Finals MVP, championship, gold medal
//so we can have more Jordan comparisons

Condrats to Bron. It was a pleasure to watch him play this postseason.

Celtic sighting!

2012-06-22 12:02:05 AM
Man, I wish Spoelstra wasn't the coach of the team I despise the most in the NBA because he is kinda hot and I'd totally make out with him. But he'd have to get a new job first. But he's still kinda hot. Dammit.

Some crazy stats for the finals, almost averaged a triple double for the series...totally deserves MVP.
