somewhere in chicago d. rose is very pissed and getting high

2012-06-21 11:08:55 PM
not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but five games

2012-06-21 11:08:58 PM
Well, this is a shame. I would have been a tiny bit more satisfied with sports if OKC had won this series, but it appears that the team who wanted it more and didn't fark up as much in the clutch won. That and LeBron has been in perpetual beast mode since Game 4 against Boston, providing just enough support to enable Mario Chalmers to lead the Heat to a Title.

2012-06-21 11:08:58 PM

TheManofPA: So can anyone post the Lebron "One out of 3 ain't bad" picture just one last time. Guess it is going to be 2 out of 3.

1 out of 3 championships?

2012-06-21 11:09:16 PM

TheJoe03: Schroedinger's Glory Hole: Historic levels of PER and he adds a new facet to his game every year.

Jordan was a better shooter and defender.

Jordan couldn't defend 4s.

2012-06-21 11:09:16 PM

puffy999: Schroedinger's Glory Hole: Same number of championships at his current age. 3 MVPs, makes players around him better but not through intimidation, will play longer, is a better athlete, passer, defender and person. Yeah, he will be GOAT.

Defender? Absolutely not.

Jordan made players around him better because of his play (and sometimes through intimidation).

LeBron is a better athlete, but he's not the kind of shooter/scorer Jordan was. He definitely does not have that killer instinct MJ had throughout his career, and did not immediately turn a horrible team into a playoff team by himself (as Jordan did). He's also, you know, lost a couple Finals (one time where he was part of the better team, and the biggest reason they lost is BECAUSE LeBron played under part).

In what world is Jordan a better defender than LeBron? And drop the Jordan by himself hog shiat, he couldn't win without Pippen.

2012-06-21 11:09:22 PM

roflmaonow: Apart from the stupid foul calls, OKC is playing like shiat.

exactly. stupid calls plus shiatty play = blowout.

2012-06-21 11:09:28 PM
Allright. Thunder, you are gutsy team that gave us a great thrill this season with the all time classis series against the Spurs. How you farked this up, I'll never know. I mean, aside from complete shiatting the bed on defense, ball control, and inexplicably poor free throw shooting. In fact, I can't think of anything you did right except tie your shoes.

2012-06-21 11:09:48 PM
And cue the 2-3-2 ruins home court advantage people.

2012-06-21 11:09:56 PM
"these are some bad threes going up right now by Oklahoma City" - For those of us that are blind, but watch TV anyway.

2012-06-21 11:10:11 PM
Games over man game over!
See you turds next year.

2012-06-21 11:10:38 PM

redmid17: Ibaka fouled Bosh(?) before Harden got fouled.

no the kickout that put the ball in harden's hand

2012-06-21 11:11:26 PM

coolio mack: I think it's silly too. But then again if Phil Jackson calls up Sam Presti and says he wants the job, wouldn't you make that move?

Well sure, if the zen master called up wanting a job, who wouldn't?

2012-06-21 11:11:32 PM

jaylectricity: And cue the 2-3-2 ruins home court advantage people.

That's been covered, but I dont see it making a difference here.

2012-06-21 11:11:37 PM

puffy999: Neeek: LeBron James is right now a better player than Jordan ever was at any point in his career

Good lord.

Jordan was one of the five best non PF/C defenders in NBA history. LeBron and Kobe will never be that good.

This. People seem to forget that he locked down the opposing player. And he didn't pull any of this BS where Sefolosha comes in and guards your best player. He played both ends.

2012-06-21 11:11:47 PM

Bob Dolemite: redmid17: Ibaka fouled Bosh(?) before Harden got fouled.

My mind is a blank on that part of the play. What happened?

Stop whining about the refs.

Can I just say I love EWF being played going into some breaks...damn skippy we in Boogie Wonderland and this NBA title is a Fantasy

2012-06-21 11:12:06 PM

redmid17: Jordan couldn't defend 4s.

Really? Do you even remember how basketball was back then? There is barely any dominant centers in the game and many 4's play like guards or small forwards now. Even with that, Jordan is still the better defender.

2012-06-21 11:12:21 PM

jaylectricity: And cue the 2-3-2 ruins home court advantage people.

Meh, you have to win, period.

/good teams win on the road
//give credit to Miami, they've played very goo and good D.

2012-06-21 11:12:24 PM
Well I got tied up with work/family stuff, little depressing to jump in here now. It's too bad this is going to look like such a mismatch ~10 years from now, because the Thunder were right there until tonight, they just didn't have quite enough to get over the hump in these games.

OKC needs a quality scoring big. Maybe Ibaka turns into that kind of guy, maybe they could move a Harden package of some kind of one, don't know. But they better solve this problem soon, like next year, before these Westbrook and Durant years are wasted. Watching them out there, I'm not sure they would have beaten the Celtics either.

You have to give credit to Miami though, especially LeBron. He did in this series exactly what everyone knew he had to do: Stay aggressive, don't settle for jump shots, don't let yourself get taken out of stretches of games.

Not hire Eric Spoelstra?

MJ won Defensive Player of the Year just to shut people up. Gotdamn.

LeBron is a better defender than Jordan. He can actually defend anyone on the floor. Jordan could only defend guards and SFs. And the people Jordan played against weren't as good as current NBA players.

2012-06-21 11:13:08 PM
NOBODY WILL EVER BE AS GOOD AS JORDAN..period..with that said Lebron is a better human being...easily

2012-06-21 11:13:16 PM
Let's all remember that if there is any team capable of farking this up, besides the Clippers, it is the Miami Heat.

2012-06-21 11:13:30 PM
I can accept that the sub doesn't get blown out of the water immediately. Pilot, you're getting DVR'd.

What the fark am I watching? Am I that drunk? Please tell me someone else saw bobblehead players

2012-06-21 11:13:32 PM

Gunny Highway: Bob Dolemite: what a bunch of garbage.

gift wrap it, refs

They are up 50. This is on the Thunder. farking shiat.

To be fair to the Thunder on defense, who the heck would have thought that Mike Miller, Mario Chalmers, and Shane Battier could actually play basketball? Was Spo's secret genius move to have them stink for an entire 2 years so that this could happen? Was this the long con?

DEAR GOD SPO IS NOW A NBA TITLE WINNING COACH. SPO HAS MORE RINGS THAN JERRY SLOAN

/karma biatches.

So after OKC loses this game, will you be over it?

2012-06-21 11:13:40 PM
All we need to do is go on a 25-0 run.

2012-06-21 11:13:51 PM

TheJoe03: redmid17: Jordan couldn't defend 4s.

Really? Do you even remember how basketball was back then? There is barely any dominant centers in the game and many 4's play like guards or small forwards now. Even with that, Jordan is still the better defender.

Yes I do. Rodman defended anyone larger than Pippen or Jordan after the first retirement. Pippen guarded anyone larger than Jordan before the retirement. Jordan was a phenomenal defender, who also got the benefit of more than a few no calls, but I don't even think he was the best defender on his team (Pippen).

2012-06-21 11:14:06 PM
So has Harden been exposed or is he just having a bad series.

The Thunder are still a few years and a player or two away. It isn't easy to win a title. All this shiat is good for these kids.

2012-06-21 11:14:16 PM

jaylectricity: Looks like if the Celtics could have just survived Game 7 they'd probably be walking away with the championship. Remember how many people were saying that the Heat and Celtics were playing to decide who would lose to the Spurs or the Thunder.

I don't buy this at all. The Heat had no one to contain Garnett and OKC doesn't have that problem. Perkins might've actually been relevant in this series. Also, who guards Durant? I love Pierce but he wasn't good in that Heat series and I think Durant would've easily outplayed him.

2012-06-21 11:14:23 PM

phimuskapsi: Man Lebron is focused like a laser. Good move on his part to remind Wade it ain't over yet.

That was to Chalmers not Wade.

How crazy would this series be if the Thunder come back in this game?

2012-06-21 11:15:21 PM
Miller man wtf.

2012-06-21 11:15:27 PM
Threeball, Miller. Eat the balls.

I really thought OK could win a game in Miami, which means they could get home court advantage back.

2012-06-21 11:15:51 PM
OMG MILLER!

2012-06-21 11:15:51 PM
Miller or Battier for MVP?

2012-06-21 11:15:59 PM
Crawford pats Spoelstra on the chest on the way up the floor. Whatta fella, that Crawford.

roflmaonow: Miller man wtf.

Again......

2012-06-21 11:16:06 PM
WAAAAAT 7/7!

2012-06-21 11:16:08 PM
Man the Heat are probably going to shoot like 55% from the floor and 60% from 3. OKC couldn't stop that with machine guns.

2012-06-21 11:16:11 PM
Threeball, Miller.

"Michael" is white for "Reggie" tonight.

2012-06-21 11:16:11 PM
Miller again - wtf, man.
