In my prison cell I think these words....

...I was careless I can see that now I must be silent Must contain my secret smile I want to tell you you my mirror you my iron bars

When I made a shadow on my window shade They called the police and testified But they're like the people chained up in the cave In the allegory of the people in the cave by the Greek guy

No one understands No one knows my plan Why the dancing, shouting Why the shrieks of pain The lovely music Why the smell of burning autumn leaves

No one understands No one knows my plan Why the dancing, shouting Why the shrieks of pain The lovely music Why the smell of burning autumn leaves

In my prison cell I bide my time Always thinking Always busy cooking up an angle Working on the tiny blueprint of the angle Sketching out the burning autumn leaves

No one understands No one knows my plan I must be silent, must contain my secret smile I want to tell you you my mirror you my iron bars

No one understands No one knows my plan

I thought they already get free food.

If they can beat the locks, why wouldn't they just tell everyone EXCEPT for the guards, then break out en mass?

I hear they cook an excellent cock meat sandwich

Here's a thought, change the locks to what works and call it a day. Inmates won't give up the answer for something they are already given. Next you'll promise them sleep, air and water. Whatever you do, don't give them a guard who'll walk by making sure they are still there. They might enjoy that.

/can I have more bars on my windows, sirs?

2012-06-22 05:29:31 AM
umm... they get food anyway, right?

2012-06-22 05:31:10 AM
So they're trying to recruit White Hat inmates?

2012-06-22 05:31:50 AM
they should promise them MORE food.
so they can get BIGGER AND SKILLED AT BREKAING LOCKS

not the same amount of free food + tasing and/or OC spray

Not long after Andy deprived us of his company, I got a postcard in the mail. It was blank and covered in steaksauce, but the postmark said Fort Hancock, Texas. Fort Hancock... right on the border. The land of Chipotle. That's where Andy crossed. When I picture him heading south in his own car with the top down, Five Guys Burgers' french fries in hand, it always makes me laugh. Andy Dufresne... who crawled through a river of shiat and came out clean on the other side with a T-Bone Steak. Andy Dufresne... headed for the Golden Corral.

From the article:

"County Commissioner Tom Lowe has said the lock issue has been blown out of proportion, but others say it puts inmates at risk of being attacked by other prisoners."

ya know, if im an inmate there, I would consider that pretty darn hard to overblow.

/ after about a year, I think I would end up beiong a prison snitch, just so they'd kill me.

AverageAmericanGuy: I thought they already get free food.

I believe thhey do, but it's the standard 3 meals/day of stuff you'd put up with in a school cafeteria. Cases of pop, gatorade, candy, cup noodles, and other stuff they can keep in their cells they have to pay for with chits they earn from labor. That's the food they'd be getting for free.

2012-06-22 06:05:48 AM
Or starve to death?

2012-06-22 06:34:40 AM
Boy won't those inmates be surprised when the extra "free food" turns out to be the 3 meals/day they get when they're convicted of attempting to escape.

2012-06-22 07:07:51 AM
The lock issue isn't blown out of proportion, the locks they use not are literally door decorations as they can be bypassed anytime the prisoner's wish.

My prediction, no inmate can "bypass" the lock. But the idiots gave the "experienced door breakers" a preview of the new locking system and they already worked out the way to bypass it. Once the locks are replaced in the entire facility, the experienced inmates make a ton of prison cash selling the secret. A week after installation the first beating and/or death is reported using the new locks.

What prisoner wants "extra food" when they cna simply keep the secret and sell it to other prisoners for much more?

More prison food? That seems to be a threat, not an incentive.

Here is a tip

Savagely beat the next inmate who even looks at the locks funny. Outright torture to death any inmate who actually does something to "jam" them.

That's an awesome tip. I'm glad to know there are people out there with enough faith in the government to seek out mandated torture.
Stupid constitution, only people with funny names go to jail anyway.

If they're givin up the little debbies, i could see some takers, but not for the normal jail swill. Wana get a quicker response? "First one out can have a drag off this cigarette."

I picture when they say something like free food they are referring to food from outside the prison. Never underestimate the power of a big mac.

I'm sure the Federal Court Monitor is enjoying this little experiment.

FTR. The Fulton County Hoosegow is one of the least secure lockups ever. Guns and drugs are smuggled in constantly and at least 5 guards have been arrested for aiding the shenanigans. The jailer figures he'll test a few lock designs out before installing.

Oh, the free food is stale honey buns and Little Debbies.

Comma necessary, lazy subby.
