Not exactly Hari Seldon, is he?

i301.photobucket.com

Remember when Obama went to Germany, and McCain and the GOP criticized him for not visiting the troops? And that's when Obama's people put the 'troll: problem?' mask on and revealed he HAD visited injured troops in Germany? And how it was suddenly how Obama was staging things because he visited troops ...that ...he'd been a dick if he didn't visit them?

When teenage girls do that, they're rightly called two-faced little shiat-stirring biatches.

I've learned that no matter what, Joe Donnelly is the cause of everything wrong with the country. Clearly, this monster must be stopped.

Well, from what I understand there are four possible outcomes in the rulings, so establishing four responses shows this person has thought things out.

I'd have to watch all four pre-recorded responses to come up with an opinion as to how much of a douche this man is, but I'm tossed about the healthcare bill. The parts that say "no concern about pre-existing conditions" sounds cool, but the part about "everyone has to buy from the companies" sounds like we're sold into slavery.

I might buy into a mutual healthcare company, but the current "mostly shares company" system is straight up selling us to stock holders.

Hollie Maea: But it takes a special kind of dipshiat to record something that starts with "Today, the court did something that none of us could have expected"

Isn't it surprising how many people are deflecting away and making excuses for this simple fact? Pre-recording reaction pieces to upcoming events is shallow beyond shallow. We know people write speeches beforehand--that's kind of the point there. This is different. In the moment constituents deserve the immediecy of that moment's reaction. You don't want a President prerecording a video speech delivered only in case of enemy attack. Just imagine if Bush or Gore had done that for 9/11.

My guess is that SCOTUS will strike down that first part and uphold the second; the ruling will be a 5-4 ruling; and it will be the same 5-4 split from Citizens United.

What's weird, every newsroom has this more than likely. Most have Celebrity Death montage's as well. This isn't a new thing for Newsrooms.

? Well, politics and news are two very different arenas. One of them makes news and the other reports about the news.

He wanted it to seem like it was an immediate gut reaction. That's why he recorded it beforehand, so he could post it a few seconds after the ruling comes out. He paid extra to have low production values.

it could have been worse. he could have just posted one ,the correct one, ahead of time and then everyone would say he knew ahead of time what the decision would be.

Why not? Eisenhower had a prepared statement in case the D-Day landings failed. And I don't get the impression that its an GOOD idea to let a guy like Mourdock speak off the cuff.

Why is is that national TV news (not opinion and "roundtable" shows) never calls them out on this? It's always "Republicans say X, Democrats say Y." It's never pointed out that "X" is objectively untrue. And if it is the kind of show where that'll come up, they have to bring on a Republican shill to say "It doesn't matter because Obama is the libbiest liberal who's ever libbed."

The important thing to note here is that no matter how the SCOTUS rules, regardless of what direction this country takes over the next few months, and independent of all possible scenarios for the perceived constitutionality of the AHCA, Richard Mourdock is going to need your money.

2012-06-21 11:47:40 PM
I like how in his world, healthcare costs "began" to rise under Obama... they fought hard for "private industry solutions" for years and years, and what we got was skyrocketing sector inflation, but that's what he wants to go back to.

But the thing is it's not overly funny. It's a simple, honest error regarding prepared remarks. I mean, so what? It's not funny, it's not stupid, it's not evil. It's just a thing that happened due to a small error due to reasonable circumstances.

I can't even imagine a better "story" to define the words "non-story".

It was so unexpected, he pre-recorded a response?

It became effective March 23, 2010. Dated to yesterday (June 21, 2010) that's 822 days. If you can't manage to read 1.7 pages per day, you're a low-functioning retard.
