It's perfectly legal to "suggest" certain political contributions. Though only recently (I've been promoted into low level executive ranks) have I known such a thing existed. They also have lists.. they know who contributed and who didn't. Etc.

That is legal. Massively unethical, but leagl. When they sink to another level and give you a "performance bonus" and then demand you write a check for the value of said bonus to the candidate, then you can call the Mass Department of State and the Attorney General.

Brown said the family of slain Border Patrol agent Brian Terry deserves answers.

I love how they keep harping on this. I'm sure the guy that killed him NEVER would have been able to get his hands on a gun if it weren't for the actions of the ATF.

I'm generally pro-Obama, but it doesn't matter that they would have been able to get guns anyway. At the end of the day an arm supplied by the US government to known violent offenders was used to murder a US government official. They are absolutely right to harp on it and shame on Obama for not doing everything he can to get info about it into the open.

I doubt it's enough to change my vote because it's a botched operation not functional insanity like the GOP, but still.

You could talk to your bank, let them know that the check was written under duress before they cash it.

In fact, set up an "emergency" signature with your bank so that when the Mass GOP (or whomever else your boss(es) "asked" you to donate to) runs it through their computer, it'll say that your account is active, but when they actually try to cash it, instead of your bank seeing your "normal" signature they'll see your "I was forced to sign this check at gunpoint, please do not honor it!" signature. That entity will then (probably) have to pay someone a returned check fee, but you won't lose a penny.

/also, contact the DoS and AG

And to think that prior to the botched Fast and Furious Operation, guns were merely tools and to state otherwise was to take away the blame from the person who pulled the trigger.

Paris1127: legal

Depends entirely upon for whom you work.

Private sector can legally tell you how to vote and can legally fire you for not voting as they desire.

Public sector is specifically prohibited from participating in any political activies "on the job" including on federal property or while acting in an official capacity offsite.

Private sector can legally buy votes. Public sector can't even cough when a political candidate is mentioned casually or else it's Federal PMITA for the offender.
