All politicians should have to fill out a questionnaire on the issues and have it posted online. If you don't answer even 1 of them you don't get to run.

Empty Matchbook: Mitt Romney will be avoiding talking about Israel when he talks to Jewish-American leaders.

Depending on where those Jewish leaders have convened, that might actually be a good plan.

At AIPAC? Bad idea.

At a heterogeneous, multi-traditional gathering with "traditional", Reform, Conservative and Orthodox folks, I don't even think *I'd* get into specific policy outlines. Even J Street might be a bad place to lay out a new plan.

// of course, I'd start any Israel policy speech by pissing off the group I was speaking to: "Here's where y'all motherfarkers have been wrong for the last 40 years..."

Glenford: Corvus: So what's his position again? Oh yeah he didn't say what it is.

That's leadership!!

Didn't he recently make a comment that he'll tell you his policies once he's elected?

Wasn't that also John McCain's position on how he definitely had a plan to go after Osama Bin Laden?

You know: the same John McCain that berated Obama for saying "If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf will not act, we will.", choosing instead to appease Pakistan with statements like "If you are a country and you're trying to gain the support of another country, then you want to do everything you can that they would act in a cooperative fashion... When you announce that you're going to launch an attack into another country, it's pretty obvious that you have the effect that it had in Pakistan: It turns public opinion against us."?

You know: the same Osama Bin Laden that was killed in Pakistan exactly in the way Barack Obama said. A country that McCain said he'd not go into. Yet he knew how to get OBL.

MEMO TO REPUBLICANS: we've already called this bluff before. You lost big using this tactic. Please, continue to use this losing tactic. And I know you will, because we Liberals are telling you it's a bad tactic. So you think it's a great tactic. Because you're f***ing morons.

I've seen bluffs, and you don't continue to bluff once it's shown that you'll do it willy-nilly because you rarely (if ever) hold a winning hand. ESPECIALLY when you're holding nothing. It stinks of gross incompetence and desperation. And if this were a poker game, I would take you to the f***ing cleaners for this tactic. And I would taunt you like I'm doing it now. Because you're too proud and stupid to learn from your mistakes.

Romney's plan, and conservatives in general, absolutely crack me up. They don't want the immigrant's children to "live off the taxpayer dime" by educating them in our school system so that they can become highly skilled labor making good salaries. and paying it back into the system a thousand fold in taxable income over their earning lives. BUT they will grant amnesty if they join the world's biggest and most bloated government jobs program, aka the US Military, and suckle off the taxpayer teat for the rest of their lives. Cuz ... God Bless Murica, and stuff.

FTA: "The former Massachusetts governor argues that his economic credentials would benefit all people who have struggled under Obama's leadership in recent years - women, younger voters and Hispanics among them."

Isn't that what the GOP used to call "playing identity politics"? "Fracturing the American people into smaller and smaller groups, then pitting them against each other"?

Anyone care to explain?

// oh, because Latinos are suddenly a huge voting bloc
// but not during the primaries
// or after elections
