Serg is the bootstrappy type. He feels addicts to recover on their own or just lie down and die and not waste any more gubnant money.*

I hope not, but TNA have been in a continuity marathon lately. It's almost like they are making up for the years of Russo killing storylines for no reason and without explanation to how they ended or would have ended or one of the many other Russo like ways he would end storylines and leaving you wondering wtf.

Seriously, though, the show was pretty decent if you lop off the last 10 minutes.

This beats last week's Raw, which was pretty decent if you lop off the last hour.

Awesome! Oh and I fell asleep and just read the recaps to catch up. What was that? I had hope for TNA and they went wit that for an ending? Last thing I remember before I fell asleep was slightly less manly Hogan say things that were making no sense.

Such and odd show...

Didn't get a chance to see Impact, but read the tread and that ending sounds really stupid. Kind of like last week's ending was stupid. At least they only spin out of control in the last 15 minutes, instead of the WWE, which spins out of control after an hour (won't three hour Raws be fun?) Why can't anyone end a show decently these days?

I thought Impact had some good points. The BFG stuff was fun. Easy way to have some meaningful quick matches since there's a 10 minute time limit on them. It's doing a nice job of putting Storm over and I think it's obvious he's gonna be the one to take the strap from Roode. Hulk's act is old, brother, but his segment with Aries was good, Duuuude. I also like to see local guys get the rub. I think Aries has been used well. The Brooke stuff was painful. She's as wooden as Duggan's 2x4. She's brought nothing to the table thus far. I'm enjoying the tryout matches. I enjoy the fact that Tenay and Taz are actually talking about what's happening at the moment. There has been some upside with TNA lately.

However... So lemme get this straight. I was stone cold sober when I watched Impact. Not so much now. The blowoff for the AJ/Dixie angle was someone who's never been on the show before who appears to be pregnant comes out and tearfully blathers on about how AJ and Dixie are saints and sponsored her rehab. She was so wasted that she woke up in hotel rooms with strangers and did all kinds of horrible things to herself. Kaz and Daniels do the run-in, etc. What in the holy living fark was that? It explains next to nothing (why is that so scandalous? Was she doing a 3 way with AJ and Dixie? Does Serg hate addicts? Was she doing Kaz and Daniels and one of them knocked her up?) and I'm afraid it will get a few more weeks. Hopefully it was a quick blowoff and we will never speak of this again.

At least there wasn't a Bischoff on the show. Impact is getting better, but that closing segment was the drizzling shiats. I don't know where the origins of the angle relate to Russo leaving. But yeah. Hopefully it's done now.

yep. that's all i hope for on it. total contrast to the rest of the show. you can even see them having to "retroactively" fit this garbage into the BFG tournament.

But like what was said upthread: at least TNA kept it to the final 10 minutes (and no overrun) vs. RAWs 1+ hour of it strewn amongst the program.

110 minutes of wrestling and wrestling-related matters and 10 minutes of the last lingering stench of Russo on Impact.

vs

2 episodes of Raw and one PPV dedicated to firing Johnny Ace, with wrestling (including the world and heavyweight championship matches) coming in a distant second fifth.

Impact may not be perfect, but they're miles ahead of Raw at this point, and doing a damn good job of turning into an actual wrestling show.

This.

This is my whole point.

I am not saying that TNA isn't "better" then WWE. I am saying they both are pretty damn bad right now.

/especially when 50 of those 110 minutes involve Hulk Hogan, the fat guy who ate Tazz, Al Snow and Brother Love

Nope.

"But Robbie E already wrestled! Who could we possibly put against Devon now? Meh, fark continuity, it's not like the fans will remember he has to defend every week."

Actually Robbie E wrestled Devon in a Dark match for TNA Xplosion

However, the almighty Hulkster decreed that it would be defended on Impact every week. However, it seems that Bound for Glory takes precedence at the moment.

And regarding Tommy Wiseau's baby sister last night:

The pregnant woman revealed in the closing segment on Impact was a local actor who was hired by the company. No one backstage seemed to know if she was going to be a regular on the show or not. They teased Christopher Daniels knew who she was, so maybe the storyline will be that he took advantage of her and fathered her child.

Thanks. I am trying to figure out where it goes and how it ends too. Part 1 was written some months ago. Part 2 I've scrapped but I'm keeping the same idea (The maintenance guy goes up to check it out). As for a Part 3 and beyond, it'll go as long as it needs to go until I figure out an ending.

So they're gonna retire one of the most iconic belt designs (big goldy) and one of the most atrocious and come up with a super sucky one instead?

If they're gonna combine them again, just bring back the undisputed title.

Plans For John Cena At WWE Summerslam Revealed
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.22.2012

They want their top draw at the top of the card...

-WWE is currently planning to have John Cena face CM Punk for the WWE Championship at Summerslam on August 19. The plan is to build the show around Punk/Cena and Brock Lesnar/Triple H.

WWE decided to go with Cena and Punk for the second year in a row because they do not want their biggest draw to be in the fourth most important match, meaning Lesnar/HHH, two world title matches and then the Cena match.

/411wrestling

Since Summerslam is one of the biggest PPVs of the year in the major television market of Los Angeles, California, WWE wants Cena in a title match and on top of the card.

If Cena wins, he ties Triple H with the most title reigns. And since Triple Gagne will be on the Summerslam card and will go over Brock, you know what that means for Survivor Series...

That's right. Him. Everywhere. 14 time champion.

No, they're not doing anything with the World Heavyweight title. I said the World Cenaweight title. I was trying to all-too-cleverly say that Punk's fighting Cena.
