The sun sets at The Sierra de Rayones, N.L., part of the Sierra Madre. We were halfway through the route and still more than 100km of some very challenging trails from the finish line. After experiencing mechanical difficulties with most of the vehicles since early morning that day, we were optimistic on getting home before dawn.
