I've met the following: Rey Rey @ Subway when they were in town. Seriously he's a lawn dart.
The Hardy's and Edge & Christian @ Denny's after a show. All were awesome...Jeff seemed sober. E & C are pretty hilarious.
Kelly Kelly, Foxy, Ricardo, Miz at a bar after a show. Miz either was having a bad day or honestly thinks he's VERY awesome because he ignored any fan that wanted to say hi. Kelly and Foxy will take pics with fans all night. Very personable. Ricardo was cool but i think shiatfaced.
I think those are main ones.

Captain Steroid: Four years ago, I got to meet AJ Styles after a TNA house show. I'd sprained my ankle earlier in the week, and was basically dragging my foot as dead weight as I ran up to see him.

I tried to think of something to say to him, but after stuttering and stammering for a few seconds, all I could get out was, "Great match!"

Styles looked at me for a second, then smiled, shook my hand, patted me on the shoulder and said, "Thanks! You're an awesome guy, too."

Looking back, I think he thought I was mentally challenged. o_o'

My PE teacher in 7th grade was Ray Lloyd, who would become Glacier 3-4 years later. Even at that age where you hate all your teachers he was a cool laid back guy. One time two of his friends were hanging around the gym, one of them was Adam Bomb and the other would later become Disco Inferno, but someone started a rumor that it was Doink. When were getting autographs after class everyone was getting Bomb's and then turning to Disco and saying "Can I have yours too Doink?" and he was exasperated, swearing he wasn't Doink. I demanded it anyway so he finally just wrote Doink the Clown with quotes. Some time after that he came back and I harassed him with a Doink impression and just said "what the hell is wrong this kid?"

Anyway a few years later I'm working at a mail shop and he comes in to drop off some mail and I ask if he's a wrestler and he says "Yeah, Disco", obviously trying to get out of the store in a hurry. I tell him we met about 6 years ago when Ray Lloyd was my coach, tell him the story, and he seemed amused and said he thought he remembered. Then he said "Seriously though, I wasn't Doink" before leaving. I heard a few years later he was hosting a high stakes poker game that got busted.

I NEVER SAID IT WAS AN INTERESTING STORY.

Anyway, since I lived in the Atlanta area during the WCW days there were a lot of wrestlers around. Cody Rhodes went to my rival high school (after I graduated) Buff went to another rival (way before I attended), Schiavones kid was a year under me at my school, etc. Most of the stories are about what you would expect - Luger's really shy, Buff and Nash want teen ass, Steiner's a psycho, etc.

When I was a kid my father used to work part time at an event center, so I got to see the shows for free all the time. There were a few times that I even got to go backstage and meet some of the wrestlers, with some that come to mind being Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Iron Sheik, Doink, and the Legion of Doom (I even got to try on Hawk's spiky shoulder pads!). I have autographed pictures of almost all of them hanging on my wall next to their respective action figures (still in box, of course). Most of them were VERY nice to me, and keep in mind I was about 9 years old so this was the coolest thing EVAR. Valentine was a bit of a dick though. Virgil too.
My dog was also furiously rubbed by RVD once as well. But I'll spare you guys that story. Needless to say, RVD is a very awesome person.

Valentine was the biggest asshole I ever met. I was really pumped to meet him. I went to his table, I was the only one in line, and waited for 5 minutes while he talked to someone. Finally he chose to acknowledge I was there and signed the picture. After he stuffed the money into his fanny pack he went back to talking. I stood there with my hand out for a hand shake for about a minute before it dawned on me that he was a total asshole. He came out later all drunk. It was pathetic and I was pissed I gave him my money.

My Grandfather was friends with Bruno Samartino in the 70's-80's. I don't remember much because I was four, but I've seen plenty of pictures and heard some tales. One pic I remember fondly is Bruno holding my grandmother and great aunt on his shoulders/biceps while he struck a pose similar to that Andre photo.

The old man still tell the story every time I come home and have wrestling on.

A coworker friend of mine when I lived n tampa was childhood friends with Test. I got to hang out with him some and even went to his house a couple of times. He had all his belts hanging on the wall of his office. Coolest thing was playing paintball with him. Dude was a big target. The kids at the field were tripping out. He was a real nice down to earth guy. He got us floor seats to a Raw once.

Aside from that I met a few of the guys at the airport. I remember HUlk and Eddie being cool for autographs and stuff.

George the Animal Steele was my Football/Wrestling coach in High School back in Michigan . Great guy and an great teacher.
Every time he was asked about the WWF, he would smile and say "that phony rassling crap?, you don't watch that do you ya?"

During the summer, he would open the weight room for the students, if you were a Football player or wrestler you didn't have to pay. I think it was $1.00 a day.

My Mom worked for the school district with Mr Meyers/ Steele's wife, so I knew him pretty well.

I was walking by his office one day heading in to the locker room. He called out my name, so I went to the door. There was a man with his back to the door and I couldn't see his face. My Meyers says "Hey, what the name of the phony rassler you like again?" I told him " Rowdy Roddy Piper" He smiles and says "That Skirt wearing pansy? He could rassle his out of wet paper bag! I think he is to busy chasing sheep!" I chuckled and told him "Pipper would beat that hairy goon Steele in less than a minute" The guy sitting in the chair laughed and stood up. It was Pipper, he shook my hand and told my coach "This must be your smartest player" When you are 15 and you meet your "Sports Idol" it is a pretty cool feeling, when he turns out to be cool and shake the hand of some dumb kid, it is freaking great! I was given tickets to Saturday night's show at Cobo Hall for my Dad and I . Even better.

Years later, in Oregon I met Rowdy Piper again and had a chance to thank him and shake his hand. I told him I met him at my High School during he summer when I was a kid. He looked at me and said "I met you in Jim's office, you got F'n big!" After 20 years, all those hits to the head, he remembered some dumb kid Yeah, Pipper is a good guy in book.

A friend friend's uncle booked events for the Providence Civic Center when I was in junior high. He got us front row seats to RAW (Shane-O off the top of a cage) and back stage passes. I will never forget coming through a curtain and seeing Stone Cold and Road Dogg chatting in a hall way. I went over to introduce myself and walking down the hall is Foley and Show. At this point I am paralyzed. Road Dogg notices my brain is melting and that I dont know what to do. He grabs the WWE magazine out of my hands (he was on the cover) and turns to the guys and says, "Can you believe they have me on the cover of this magazine with someone elses dog?" He then asked me the same question. That broke the ice. My buddies and I stood around and talked wrestling with them for a while, they signed our stuff, and we went back to our seats for the show.

It was the greatest day of my life.

I have a couple friends who used to promote local indy shows, before they retired from the ring. I always helped out when I could, putting the ring together, running a camera, whatever. One of their shows, they brought in Koko B Ware. Good dude, but man, did he work for his dollar. I worked his gimmick table for a while, and watching him pull money out of people was amazing.

Mick Foley did a "lecture" at the university here several years ago, when his second book came out. He spoke for two hours then asked what time it was. "Really? I was only supposed to talk for an hour. I got more stories, wanna hear them?". Uh, yeah! He talked for another hour, then told all 200 people to get in line, and he'd sign something for everyone. Mick even asked if everyone would please let those with kids come to the front of the line, since it was getting late. Very nice guy, got my pic taken with him, wearing my Cactus Jack shirt.

After a house show once, I took my son (about 6 then), to the "secret" exits of the arena, to get a glimpse of some of the guys coming out to their cars. The big stars drove under the building, no interaction with fans (Flair, Triple H). The only ones that walked near any fans were Christian, Hurricane Helms, and Jonathan Coachman. Christian and Helms made no eye contact, no response. Coach, even though he was "heel", made it a point to come over to the fans, shake a few hands, thank us for coming to the show. Hope he has a long, successful career with ESPN.

Come to think of it out of 4 guys I really remember meeting. (Test, Eddie, benoit and hulk) 3 are dead. Yeesh

this one pisses me off. my closest to a CSB with a wrestler (besides a simple "Have a Nice Day" signing at E3 in 2000 with Foley) was watching WWE in Osaka and Test was performing.

Japan is notoriously silent during matches. The wrestling fans applaud at the beginning, at the end, and when moves happen. There's no constant "white noise" of crowd murmur during a bout like there is here. So we're the in Osaka Dome in the second level and Test is out there performing with Christian (it was RVD/HBK vs. Test/Christian). I'm screaming at Test the entire time; I'm the only voice you can hear in the entire Osaka Dome. Just constant "TEST YOU SUCK!" jeers. After he tags out of the match and is on the apron i let another one fly and he just turns around, points up the balcony and screams "HEY, YOU SUCK!"

Entire section of Japanese around me loved it, were applauding him and me (back patting, high fives, etc.) and I just kept barking at him during the match. Other Japanese also started joining in (so much fun to hear "YOO SUKKKOOO" from across the arena).

Best part of the story is I had taken off from teaching that day (was a Friday) because I felt like ass in the morning. Had my tickets for WWE so I just downed dayquil and cough meds all day and breathed in steam to at least be able to get there.
Unfortunately, a student at my school was there with his father and -- how could you not -- heard me screaming.

I get to work on Monday and a co-teacher comes up to me and says "Takeshi-kun came up to me this morning and said: Smiths-sensei said he likes nothing more than teaching, but I think he likes wrestling more than teaching".

That kid got a crapload of "America" stuff from then on. He said his father was cracking up the whole time at the "screaming foreigner"

SO THERE i didn't MEET anyone but i had a cool story involving someone!

Andrew "Test" Martin was the first victim in the McMachon/Helmsley Ego Stroke-a-thon that lasted for many years.

Back in the late 90's I was at a Vampire the Masqurade LARP that had taken over the hotel down by the airport for the weekend. So, about 100 nerds and goth chicks running around playing rock-paper-scissors and then someone says, "Holy shiat, Sabu and RVD are in the hotel bar!"

ECW had a show in town and they were all staying at the same hotel. Balls Mahoney was walking around hitting on the goth chicks. Most of the players had no idea what ECW was, but there was a surprising amount of overlap with people geeking out that they were in the same hotel.

Another one (sorry).

I was managing a gaming/hobby shop in my local mall in Tucson, and it was RIGHT after Eddie died. I was devastated, as I was/am a huge Eddie fan and was extremely happy that it seemed as if his life was finally running smoothly. Well, I made a big R.I.P. Eddie pin that I wore on the back of my work vest (we were encouraged to wear "flair"). I was waiting in line at a Rubio's for my lunch in the food court wearing my vest when I felt a tap on my shoulder, and I turn around to see Vicki Guerrero standing there (this was obviously before she was even a WWE employee). I recognized her from the bits that she was playing with Eddie on TV, and the first thing she says to me was "Thank you very much for wearing that pin, my Eddie always loved his fans". I was speechless. The most I could say with me choking up a bit was "I am so sorry for your loss." She just smiled at me and said "And I'm sorry for your loss, as a fan". We spoke a bit more after that, apparently she was on her way to be with some family and stopped in Tucson to see some there as well. That meeting always gets to me, not so much because I got to meet and speak with her for a bit, but that I actually got to express my sorrow to his family. Not a lot of people really got to do that.

I always thought he was a pretty good mid card wrassler. iirc he was being built up and that angle just buried him. I never asked him what he really thought about that, he probably would have squashed me.

In Bret Hart's book (which is a must-have if you're a wrestling fan), he claims that it was created to give the British Bulldog a title. I think it had to do with Vince promising Davey Boy the big Championship years before, and trying to appease him by giving him something. I lost the book, so I can't look up the exact quote.

One time two of his friends were hanging around the gym, one of them was Adam Bomb and the other would later become Disco Inferno, but someone started a rumor that it was Doink. When were getting autographs after class everyone was getting Bomb's and then turning to Disco and saying "Can I have yours too Doink?" and he was exasperated, swearing he wasn't Doink. I demanded it anyway so he finally just wrote Doink the Clown with quotes. Some time after that he came back and I harassed him with a Doink impression and just said "what the hell is wrong this kid?"

Anyway a few years later I'm working at a mail shop and he comes in to drop off some mail and I ask if he's a wrestler and he says "Yeah, Disco", obviously trying to get out of the store in a hurry. I tell him we met about 6 years ago when Ray Lloyd was my coach, tell him the story, and he seemed amused and said he thought he remembered. Then he said "Seriously though, I wasn't Doink" before leaving. I heard a few years later he was hosting a high stakes poker game that got busted.

I NEVER SAID IT WAS AN INTERESTING STORY.

For what it's worth, Disco Inferno is a door guy at Sapphire's in Las Vegas.

Back in the mid 1980's I flew out of Hartford, Ct. very early one morning on business. The WWE (when it was the WWF) had performed in the then Hartford Civic Center the night before. A lot of wrestlers where having breakfast in the airport that morning.

I chatted a little on the food line with Big John Studd, very nice and pleasant, kidding me about "why weren't you at the show? Don't say because you had to get up early, I'm here fine!".

I sat at an empty table and Paul Orndorff and Don "The Magnificent" Muraco came and asked nicely if I minded if they sat at the table. Very nice, more small talk, and when they found out I was in the IT business they mainly asked about what companies I had worked with that were worth investing in.

The only "incident" was when Billy Jack Haynes walked by wearing yellow ribbons around his biceps. A woman called out "hey, what's with the dyed yellow ribbons?", and without missing a beat he called back to her "Hey, what's with the dyed yellow hair?", which got a lot of laughs. However, a few minutes later I saw with walk over and apologize to her, both departed laughing so there didn't seem to be any hurt feelings.

My buddies and I saw Al Snow at a Waffle House late one night after a show in Cincinnati. We saw him and started yelling "What does everybody want?...HEAD!" Yeah, we were pretty hammered but he took it well and was a class guy.

I was on the same plane as D'Lo Brown from Dallas to Orlando last week. We chatted for a bit at baggage claim. I think he was happy someone recognized him. Really nice guy.

We were at a strip bar in Memphis for my buddies bachelor party. We arrived and staked out a corner table somewhat in the corner of the bar. After about an hour, a large bouncer came by and asked us to relocate to another table. Needless to say we were inebriated and a tad upset about being moved. Then a larger man appeared behind him and apologized for asking us to move. It was DDP, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall and others, who were with WCW show across town. They all hung out and signed autographs, bought us beers, shot the bull with us for quite a good amount of time. Also a fact I can attest to, pro wrasslers of the famous variety are stripper magnets! Most of the bigger names in wrestling I have met have all be decent folks just Giant Sized.
Ray Mysterio however is ewok size. nice..but ewok sized
