"Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."

It says ponies right there on the thread, no one is forcing you to read them. In fact, because it says "pony", you can go ahead and ignore it.

Cuz, as far as I know, it takes less effort to ignore the thread than to go into the thread and complain about the topic of the thread.

So, forgive me if I don't feel bad for you.

You not only missed the point of that quote, you're in a separate time zone from the point. Here, let me make it super simple for you:

If you feel that calling someone else's interests 'childish', or a variant thereof, is as an insult, then you are either actually a child yourself, or you're an adult who didn't mature properly. Either way, the problem lies with you and not the people who aren't afraid of what random strangers might think of what they like.

So let me get this straight..

You don't have a problem with MLP threads, you just have a problem with the silly pictures that people post in those threads?

Silly pictures about a cartoon show.

You're upset by them.

You should go back to the Politics tab, you're going to hurt yourself here without a sense of humor to buffer things.

That being said, I do think we can limit the pony content of non-pony threads to one or two pics.

Sometimes, a mainpage link gets OMGPonyThread hijacked, derailing the previous discussion entirely, and I can certainly see that being interpreted as spam, same as the hahaGuy of yesteryear. Don't annoy people. Please.

Contrariwise, I REALLY do not get the idea of going into threads about a thing merely to say you don't watch that thing. Wheather they're threads for BattlestarGalactica, or HomestarRunner, or Lost, or Pony, or sports that you do not follow. Don't go in to complain; what does that solve? Simply don't click on it.

I beleive that covers everything.

I don't know. I watched three episodes and I couldn't get that into it. It's ok. The animation is nice, the writing is acceptable. But I don't get much more than that.

fickenchucker: Professor_Falken: A real man plays with ponies (Not Rainbow Dash or Rarity, those are her favorites)
A real man plays with dolls (Some of the handmade dolls out there are FUGLY, but even the fugly ones get played with)
A real man play make believe ( I make a damn fine horsie and, on occasion, the Mighty King!)
A real man plays dress up (but ONLY with the big hats NOT the boa)
A real man (on occasion) wears nailpolish (Only the pink and purple kind, the is SO last week)

A real man never loses that little kid spirit, he keeps it with him and takes it out to play with his children.

And if that makes me hand in my man card in your eyes, you can keep your farking "Real Man" club. I'll be playing "ponies" with my daughter until the day I die.

Having fun with your kids is different than proclaiming real men act like girls as a normal course of events.

Real men never wear nail polish in public, although they might humor the silliness if their daughters in the privacy of one's home.

/Bronies need to accept their sexual confusion and move along.
//If one turns out to be a little different, so be it. But don't say it's a statistical norm, because it's not.

Actually, real men don't give a fark what you think real men do, and just do what they want. THAT'S a "real man".

I used to wonder what losers farkers could be, until you all shared this little "obsession" with me. There's a whole big world of adventure out there, tons of fun things to do that don't involve cartoons for little girls. Listen, I sort of get it. When growing up you were always the one last picked at recess, your mother would always reassure you were beautiful and the gym teacher would describe you as having "heart," if nothing else. The truth is your mom was just being faithful and your coach trying to inspire you to become strong. The fact that you revel in watching this tripe proves you've let them both down.

I'm sharing this with you out of kindness. It's an easy feat to just shake my head and move on to other topics, if I could use retarded pony magic and turn back time so I never read this thread, my life would be complete. But I can't do that, instead I have to sit here and read about you my little ponies.

What ya did there, I see it.

The only thing I understand less than the MLP love is the people who get angry and confused and have to go into threads to express their hatred for MLP and its fans. Just let it go, who cares what cartoons they like?

Well then there's this to address your unreasonable hate.
