I changed my name to Optimus Prime when I was 30," explains the Ohio military firefighter.

Now he's 41, subby.

Also Optimus was never a Lamborghini. That was Rodimus.

/you've got the touch.

OK... first, you make your living running into places everyone with half a brain is running out of.
Then, you change your name to something really stupid
This is surprising... how?

No one's been paying attention to French firemen's fashion lately.

I think they play too much Halo.

/And I think that's an American made Pelican brand flashlight.

That is surprisingly bad-ass for the French.

What do my super-cool 16 year old, wanna-be rapper type students do when we bring a Rock Band set to class? Use the microphone to see who can say "Autobots, roll out," the most like Optimus Prime.

I think that there is nothing geeky about Transformers these days.

/Actually changing one's name may still qualify, though.

If he was really geeky he'd have gone with Orion Pax.

If he knew better, he would have changed it to Inferno. At least he was a firetruck.

It was Hot Rod, but he was just a generic futuristic sports car. The change to Rodimus turned him into a futuristic Winnebego.

At least the whole firefighter/Optimus thing works, since Robots In Disguise-era Optimus was a fire truck.

He combined with Ultra Magnus to form Omega Prime.

I always thought it'd be cool to give a kid the middle name "Megatron". Kids might not be apt to fark with a kid named after a diabolical machine that could transform into a pistol.

Some time ago, there was a Facebook page who's goal was that if they could get X number of Likes, the guy's sister would name her baby Megatron. They achieved the Likes, but she didn't cave in and name the kid Megatron. She got promptly cussed.
