I'd regulate it.

Corvus: iron_city_ap: Also, government has no business in sports. Gets your noses out of the NCAA, NFL, MLB, My backyard gladiator arena, NBA, ... Publically denounce it as being a sham, and move on to shiat that actually matters. If its corrupt/fixed, quit paying attention to it. Leave it to fools.

So then committing fraud in gambling is ok with you and not a place for government regulation?

Government should not be involved in regulating gambling at all?

Regulating gambling is one thing. Creating an entity to regulate a specific sport is another.

skullkrusher: inexplicable

Yeah I know, crazy people would want to watch the best athletes in the world play a fun sport that is easily accessible to everyone. I wonder why hockey just wont catch on! Sure Stern is a tool and NBA refs are a joke and borderline crooked but hoops kicks ass and growing up watching it in the 90s made me a fan for life.

/2nd or 3rd most popular sport in the world as well (not sure if cricket is ahead, they do got a strangle hold on India)
//boxing is one of my favorite sports too, so seeing it finally die off is sad. That Pacman/Bradley fight depressed the hell out of me. Not switching to UFC.

Way more talent and skill in the NBA (obviously) than in college basketball, especially now that the best players leave after a year. The one thing I like about college hoops is March Madness (maybe the two halves thing as well), otherwise it's a bad version of the NBA.

/I would also watch a street basketball league
//It would be really sweet if the NBA all-star game was a street hoops game in Rucker Park between the best players in the NBA. That would be amazing and they would actually play hard. You probably are too cool to be entertained by such a thing, though.

Psst. Boxing is a sport people gamble a LOT of money on.

DoctorRock: The NBA players could halfass it and still win by 50 points

No, the two teams would both have the best NBA players. I guess I phrased it weird, but I don't think it should necessarily be East vs West.

Rondo, Kobe, James, Dirk, Howard could play Rose, Wade, Durant, Love, Bynum, it would be farkin awesome.

The_Sponge: quatchi: I sometimes wonder who would win in a UFC match between McCain and Reid.

It would end up being a lemon party, so we'd all lose.

lose?
