9beers: intelligent comment below: No, people get sick from fast food for 2 reasons. Bad hygiene from the restaurant or allergic to something.

Wow, that's a hell of a coincidence. Every time I've eaten fast food late at night and had the shiats from it was because somebody forgot to wash their hands but having never had the same problem during the day means that those employees were cleaner.

Change your username, it doesn't suit you.

I'm pretty sure its just a troll character. I mean, the username plus the consistently idiotic comments just screams troll and/or a Fark character/persona (like bad analogy guy).

9beers: intelligent comment below: Some people get upset stomachs from eating fast food no matter what time of day they eat.

I'm sure that's true. What's equally true is that a lot of people have problems with certain foods depending on when they eat them. I just ate a ham and cheese sandwich and I'll have no problems. If I had eaten it late tonight, just before bed, trust me, I'd regret it. It's not uncommon for people to have problems digesting certain foods if eaten shortly before bed. Adding in a stomach full of alcohol only adds to the problems.

That's a whole different issue not relevant to the topic we are supposed to be debating.

You aren't supposed to eat anything at least 3-4 hours before bed in the first place.

9beers: Strategeryz0r: I thought that was a teenage rite of passage? fark I'm 26 and still do that pretty much every weekend with the wife. The wife keeps that scentsy going alllllll day on sunday.

I'm in my 40's and still fall victim to it from time to time. I try planning things so I'm nice and full long before the end of the evening, but there are times when the urges are too strong to resist. About a month ago, I rode my bike through the Taco Bell drive through at 3am, drunk off my ass. It was the most delicious meal I've ever had.

Motorcycle or Bicycle?

Because I've always figured I'd end up being that 40 year old drunk going through the drive thru at 2am riding a bicycle.

You do realize that, while that is a great rule to have in general, most people don't follow it? The midnight snack is a stereotype for a reason, and taco bell is the ultimate midnight snack that's readily available for most people. On top of the fact that many will succumb to food coma post-taco bell ingestion.

So trying to say that because you aren't supposed to means everyone doesn't is flat insanity. I, and a GREAT many people I know, eat taco bell without getting the atomic diarrhea all the time. And I don't doubt that the local taco bells here do quite poorly on their inspections.

In the end it boils down to what your stomach is used to processing. If I try an all vegetarian diet I will not get off the shiatter for 2 weeks, at least. Yet I can eat taco bell, mcdonalds, fat t-bone steaks, pizza, etc all day every day with nary a problem in my digestive system.

So your subjective experience has no meaning in the context of why does taco bell make people shiat. It's a combination of factors, not just the 2 you point out. Hell the 2 you point out I would say are probably not even to blame for 75% of the digestive issues caused by taco bell. Chain restaurants don't get any passes on their health inspections. Around here they're held to a FAR higher standard. As the chain restaurants often times appear far more clean than the local joints in every way possible(bathrooms, dining areas, kitchens, staff, all of it).

I also scour the online dating sites looking for sex so you have that to look forward to as well.

It's like looking into a mirror. I always figured my marriage wouldn't last. Does she kick the bucket or just walk out?

You didn't finish your story. When you scour the online dating sites looking for sex, are you able to find it regularly?

I've had pretty good success myself with a specific site. It drives my parents nuts that I'm still single, but this last year or so, I've had more trim than a bonsai tree. Why settle?

Be careful with that, I had a friend just trying to do the right thing after a DUI get popped for one on a bike, he wasn't even all over the place, they checked on him because he didn't have a friggin light on the bicycle

If I even have one cup of beans from there on the way home then I can literally ride the rest of the way powered by the thrust of the constant stream of diarrhea shooting out my rear end. Equal and opposite reactions and stuff. My only problem is getting home while the stream is still flowing. But that's why I keep my pool empty because that sucker's gonna get refilled on those evenings.

"Llama" actually means "flame". So maybe?

I'm not talking about people who get it "all the time" that wasn't my point. I was just giving examples on why you would get sick eating fast food. Many people get the Chipotle shiats, that's also mainly from dirty restaurants.

Every time some fast food story pops up people complain about how it's not as good as some local place or how you could make better at home or various other bs that completely ignores the fact that it's a fast food chain restaurant. The priorities are cheap, tasty, quick, and consistent between locations. Your disappointment that they aren't gourmet or authentic or whatever is a problem with your expectations, not the restaurant.

No

And your Ph.D. is in what? Or you know health inspectors? That's what I thought...

Multiple posters have told you that you're wrong, accept it and move on.

Have you considered changing your name?

Because I really care what uneducated people think on the internet of topics they have no idea about. When your work place fails a health inspection horribly but gets a re-do because it's a big name, you know something is wrong.

And my name fits me just fine, just like yours. Only someone after 9 beers would post like you.

intelligent comment below: Madbassist1: Good Christ you're an excellent troll. You pull shiat out of your ass, state it like it's an unequivocal FACT and then wander off when people call you on it. That's good stuff. I like the cut of your jib.

If you were actually as smart as you think you are, hell I'd vote for you for president.

So you have no actual counter opinion as to why people get sick from fast food?

Well, If I was a gastroenterologist, I would step right up and tell ya, but since I have no idea what the fark I'm talking about, I'll just stay silent. When did you get YOUR medical degree?

Sorry to interrupt this huge pissing match with some on topic ramblings...

My personal favorite at Taco Bell is the Crunch Wrap Supreme. Easy to hold, doesnt fall apart like a hard taco, isnt as soft as a soft taco.. and its full of the same basic ingredients as most of their menu.

and for anyone born yesterday..

kenshin5435 had it right. Taco Sal is the BOMB! Being from South Texas, I've come to the realization that pretty much anything with cheddar is Tex-Mex. I used to like it, but after living in New Mexico for almost 5 years has given me a better perspective of Mexican food. And I'm not just talking about the Mexican food in Arizona and Southern California either. They are all great, and when I went to South Texas this past Christmas, he Mexican food there actually made me sick. everything is so greasy, but if you're local, you're used to it. No wonder south Texas is so fat.

The only tacos that I have had that were better than Taco Bell's are Lucy's shrimp tacos in Akumal Mexico. Worth the trip down there just for them.

Actually, Mexican is kind of bland. By far the best variation is New Mexican. After eating good New Mexican food id't tough to settle for any other kind.

Oh, this, ever so much this.

I nearly wept when I last went to Albuquerque only to find that Garduno's had shut down.

Oh, and the five layer burrito is all kinds of awesome. 2 tortillas with a layer of "cheese"* in between!

I also cant wait for the ones around here to start offering breakfast.

bgddy24601: 9beers: bgddy24601: chili cheese flavor.

You can get those in any store, at least in the midwest. I just bought a bag the other day at Kroger.

We will have to call that an East Coast fail. I have not seen them in anything bigger than the "Big Grab" bag in many years, and I have looked while both drunk and sober.

I had a friend buy a large bag of Chili Cheese Fritos yesterday. I live in WV so they are on the East Coast. Have faith you'll find them.
