FTA: boarding a 6 a.m. flight from Las Vegas to New York on June 5

This was a Tuesday morning, but I thought all Vegas hookers flew back home on MONDAYS! Good to know I don't have to rush back home.

The shocking part of this story is that I don't find that picture arousing. Those breasts are rubbing me the wrong way, I guess.

A Southwest spokesperson told Jezebel that the airline apologized to Avital for the flap and offered her a refund.

It seems she can...

...Avital.

"The guy sitting in front of me on the plane was wearing a shirt with an actual Trojan condom embedded behind a clear plastic applique and had no trouble getting on his flight," she said.

???

I think he's wearing it wrong

Yeah, this didn't actually happen.

Was she dressed all that provocatively? No.

Do I get the feeling that being told no for an unjustifiable reason ended up validating her identity as an oppressed minority in a world of injustice? Oh hell yes.

I love a thread about slut shaming in the morning. Reads like....derp.

Are you kidding me? Sluts should be encouraged.

Rodney: Hey there.....bro.

Casino Security Guard: Yeah?

Rodney: Where are all the hot sluts in this place?

Casino Security Guard: The hot sluts?

Rodney: Yeah.

Was she showing a little too much? Maybe.
Should she have been told she wouldn't be able to board the plane? Absolutely not.

And they came for the fat people, and I remained silent, for I wasn't fat, and they came for those with glorious cleavage....

That outfit is horrid, but she's covered up enough.

Last month, New Orleans political strategist and weightloss blogger Kenlie Tiggerman sued the airline after she claimed a ticket agent told her to buy a second seat because she was too fat to fit into one.

And I have no problem with this. Use two seats, pay for two seats.

You really think that outfit (though hideous) was inappropriate? How much is too much cleavage?

Only if 'oppressed minorities' are the only ones who ever get told 'no for an unjustifiable reason'.

Birkinstocks - check

I'm betting big bucks there is a buzz-cut on top as well.

Should she have just cooperated, "suffered" in silence on-board, reached her destination, and then sue the airline and try to publicly humiliate them in return? Yes.

2012-06-18 11:50:47 AM
I don't know why they'd add a blurb at the end someone who complained about being told to buy two seats because she was too fat. Someone who is so fat that they're spilling into another seat SHOULD have to pay for a second seat.

Cleavage, on the other hand, doesn't take up another seat. It's not like she was wearing a bra as a top or in a bikini or something that could be considered potentially inappropriate.

No, bag strap. Look how it bunches the shirt.

Although I can easily picture her with blue dreads...

It is the rope belt. They are worried that she is going to use it as a garrote and strangle someone on the flight. And I agree with the airline on this one. Damned hippie assassins.

It shouldn't encourage the pilots to steer into turbulence. Other than that, I don't see the problem.

Looking at what we can see of this Train wreck of a fashion statement I'm fairly certain i don't want to see the whole picture.
Flannel shirt over a black dress w/some sort of rope belt, and a multi-colored scarf. Is that a purse strap on her shoulder or some nasty arsed blue dreads?

Not sure if want. I'm sure the photo is from the neck down for a reason.

I also would like to offer my services in determining what exactly is "too much" cleavage.

/EIP

On a serious note, it looks like she's plenty covered. It seems like this may be a combination of the woman's age/weight/appearance plus the cleavage. I'm sure if she were young and thin, this wouldn't be a problem.

I'll take Cleavage Lady over Fatty Mcfatterson* spliing over my armrest any day.

And when Little Old Lady Stickinass decides she doesn't like my "I wanna stick my [rooster pic] in your [cat pic] and smack your [giraffe pic]...please tell me you have a giraffe" shirt, or Fatima Ali-Hazebadeh doesn't like my IDF shirt - and claims I'm causing a distraction - I need to change my shirt?

Some minimum-wage jockey button-pusher gets to decide I'm causing a problem by wearing a T-shirt, and my options are "wait for a less douchey crew" or "change my shirt so that I can get away from douchey crew members that much more quickly"?

Can I claim that they're causing unsafe conditions by making me wedge myself into all manner of uncomfortable positions just to ride across the Atlantic while half asleep?
