So I see the "do whatever you want without any consequences" brigade is out in full force here.

I'm quite sure the drunken buffoon knew damn well he had no business on the green - his ticket to the event surely pointed that out. Spend a night or two in jail and think about it next time you want to be a dipshiat attention whore.

Seriously. People need to lighten up. Ask him to leave or escort him off the property, or just laugh and go about your business. Jail is not necessary.

Common sense has been lost in this country.

I agree with you that common sense is declining. But not for the same reasons.

Came for the Miller hate, leaving very satisfied.

Fark that boring clown and his set-your-watch-by-it "the ball is going to go left/right because the water is on that side" advice. He may have been something to see in his day as a pro, but I'd rather listen to Jim Nantz than him. JIM NANTZ.

Is what he did illegal in USA?

What isn't? Our federal and state codes are so convoluted and vast that, as US attorneys never tire of telling us, it's almost impossible to go through a day without unknowingly breaking a law of some kind or another (and of course, neither good intentions nor ignorance are any excuse unless for anyone without a badge, an office, or a huge honking pile of scratch). The important thing to remember about the US "justice" system is that, even if what he did wasn't directly illegal, because he annoyed some rich folks by doing it, the cops and relevant DA office are likely going to trump up some charge to punish him with anyway. Land of the Free :)

spawn73: Is what he did illegal in USA?

You listen to someone on ESPN talk these days, and a person who does this should be charged with a felony. It's absolutely insane what has happened over the years (to what was once a somewhat innocent gesture; look, Hank Aaron broke a white man's home run record in the deep south during the 1970s, and two white guys ran on the field and patted him on the back, after he had been receiving death threats for MONTHS leading up to the new season... and those guys actually made it without security interference, whereas these days they'd probably have been shot before making it past the base line). To me, the weird part is that all the crazy farkwit fans are in OTHER countries (okay, okay... I won't include New York, Philadelphia, or Cleveland, which are piece of shiat cities that will throw batteries, bottles, rocks, snowballs, or whatever is laying around onto the field at the SLIGHTEST hint of butthurt), not the US. Hell, you're much much MUCH more likely (in the US) to be stabbed/shot/beaten in the parking lot or while you're driving to/from a game than you are if a fan runs on the field. Hell, the only people who seem to get hurt when fans run on the field are FANS, and much of the time it's because of security guards or when they're being entirely idiotic (tearing down goalposts).

Remember, go to jail for a day or two is the only consequence.

You know, community service USED to be a consequence. Frankly, it would be a GOOD one for something like this. But since he wasn't charged with a crime, and just spent a few hours in jail, he basically received LESS than that.

That and the "IN THE HOOOOOOOOOLE" dickholes.

Seriously, maybe that's why I'm being "soft" on this guy. The fact is, there are MUCH more annoying people at golf courses. Noise is aggravating to me more than most things, and one reason I typically enjoy(ed) watching golf was that it was, you know, quiet. Even the ANNOUNCERS are quiet. But every time it's a big event, or Tiger Woods is out there, "that guy" is around. And it ALWAYS sounds like the same guy.
