jtown: The article doesn't say he's claiming to be innocent. In fact, "invasion of privacy" would seem to indicate that the results are accurate. If they were not accurate, we'd be looking at a story about a libel suit.

bakarocket: It's a bit more complicated, but in Japan privacy laws also include potential damages that could result in someone's name or image being tied in with a crime, causing potential damage to the person.He may be the criminal, or he may just share a name with a criminal. Either way it's a privacy case in Japan.It's still farking stupid, though.
