Well, I'm going to see the New Britain Rock Cats this aft with the family. A good time will be had by all, I'm sure.

Enjoy your day, dads...

I recall one time in high school, after a couple of weeks of fretting from a pregnancy scare, a buddy of mine asking me if I'd found out anything. I uttered one of the truly clever things I've ever said:

"It's good news. The Reds beat the Padrés."

Happy Father's Day!

I'm going to go out my front door during the 7th inning stretch and tell whomever it might concern to get off my lawn.

All I want is an answer to the question, "Why Can't Timmy Pitch This Year?"
Well, okay, that's not *all* I want. I also want him to pitch better.

And a beer. I would like a beer. Or five.

I couldnt give fark-all about the game, but for father's day I would love a day to forget I have a kid. Probably because I am a stay-at-home dad.

My old man is the reason I'm a lifelong Cardinals fan; it's kind of a birthright in our family. It also doesn't hurt that my grandparents were friends with Stan Musial.
CSB moment - I have a photo of The Man that he personally signed to my father. One of my most prized possessions.

/love you and miss you, Dad

Jesus Christ, Indians, sort your f*cking bullpen out. Outside of Pestano and Perez, we've got one guy who can pitch well without the lead. Rafael Perez is DL'd, Sipp's totally regressed this year, Hagadone is still new but he's getting roughed up hard, and Esmil Rogers and Jeremy Accardo only get thrown out there when the game's already out of hand and it doesn't matter if they give up four or five more runs.

We can't win every game 2-0, ya buncha f*cks.

Go Yankees, go every team playing against an AL East team not named the Yankees.

2012-06-17 12:57:43 PM
11 of their last 12
8-0 against the NL East
FINALLY won a game without hitting a homer yesterday (even if it took 14 innings and a Brad Lidge Experience to do it)

feels good man

2012-06-17 01:20:33 PM
F*ck yeah, Kipnis!

End of the 1st, 1-0 Indians

Dad sounds boring. Is he 90?

2012-06-17 01:51:58 PM
Yanks jump out to a 1-0 lead in the 1st

2012-06-17 01:53:24 PM
Eh, could've been a bigger lead, but I'll take a 1-0 Yankees lead after a half inning.

2012-06-17 01:55:26 PM
BJ Upton lead off homer. Carlos Pena walk.

looks like Josh Johnson has AA stuff today.

2012-06-17 01:57:35 PM
Nice play, Robbie

2012-06-17 01:58:40 PM
1-2-3 for Nova, great play by Cano.

2012-06-17 01:58:52 PM
And Nova completes a nice, easy 8 pitch 1st inning.

2012-06-17 02:09:59 PM
Since there seems to be a no hitter possibility every day what game does everyone think will go 6 with no hits?

I got Greinke vs. Minnesota.

2012-06-17 02:10:58 PM
Solo HR, 1-1 in DC.

2012-06-17 02:11:34 PM
Indians extend the inning on a throwing error, Gomez immediately gives up a three-run home run to give the Pirates the lead.

That's the Cleveland way.

LaRoche comes in to remind everyone why pitcher wins don't matter.

Huh, Chien-Ming Wang is on the DL? Shocker of shockers.

The Nats announcers were saying something like "All Nova does is win". I wanted to throw something at the TV

You could take either side of that game and not be wrong.

Cobb has a perfect game going in Tampa.

//since they're a dime-a-dozen anyway

Whatever - only through 2 - but that's when I start getting updates on a "developing story"

Yeah, that game could be over in less than 1 hour with those offenses

Adam Wainwright has a no-no after 2/3 of an inning. Only 25 outs to go!

Shin-Soo Choo with a two-run double to put the Tribe back on top 4-3.

Yeah, it takes about that much bobbling to get Andruw to waddle safely down to first.

2012-06-17 02:47:55 PM
Game tied, bases loaded, two outs. Routine grounder to Cabrera, who...drops it...then tries to slap it to second base...and misses...two runs score.

Jesus Christ.

2012-06-17 02:52:12 PM
Hey, remember what I said earlier about how the Indians bullpen can't pitch from behind in a game?

Yep.

If he didn't try to roll it to second, he could've saved a run

LaRoche within a whisker of another solo HR, leadoff double for the Nats.

2012-06-17 03:02:46 PM
Nice double play to get out of the inning. Yanks and Nats still tied at 1

2012-06-17 03:02:48 PM
Double play, Nova gets out of a jam. 1-1 into the 5th.

2012-06-17 03:06:30 PM
