I really hope the SPL shoots themselves in the foot and vote against re-instating the Gers.

That outcome is likely. Rangers may even voluntarily go down to the third division, just to 'show them'.

Would Club 12 be allowed into the third division? And who would they displace?

"The FIFA ratings suggest that Denmark might be a threatening team." Oh, in that case... Note, that FIFA ratings had me as a top official for World Cup 2010. It pains me to say this, but unlike the officials, FIFA is not always right. Though, the Danes receiving such a ranking given their lack of oil money does surprise me somewhat.

/That CR7 goal should have have been blown dead. Ugh, UEFA officials.

Club 12 would be the runner up from the First Division, or Rangers NewCo. If the former, all teams would move up one slot, and NewCo would take the space in the third.

Scotland - more professnal football teams than Italy...

Thanks for the explanation.I've not been following the Rangers tale. So, that would mean additional teams getting promoted into the SPL and other divisions. Would they be entitled to the typical promotion payment, given that it was a promotion earned in the boardrooms and not on the field?

Mmm. Payments are for final league position. Not sure if those would be retrospectively changed - I'd be surprised if they were.

Well, all rating systems have flaws, but I would blame racism and American hegemony. That said top three for the African Nations Cup 2010 is not bad.

Also, a group where all four teams could advance or be eliminated has happened in EURO as recently as, I don't know, yesterday. In fact, all four teams were guaranteed to advance if they won, and all but Russia were assured of going out with a loss.

He could have also been talking about Germany forcing Greece into austerity measures because the Greeks owe German banks a ton of money.

...as a player, yes. Probably the second best player in the world behind Messi, which I hope really irks him. As a person, terrible.Everything about him makes my skin crawl, even singing the national anthems everyone has their arms around eachother and are facing forward and he's standing there alone facing a different direction like 'oh I'm the great Ronaldo bigger than Portugal'. And when he takes a free kick 'ALL THE CAMERAS ARE ON MEEEE! I'll do a blag moon walk then stand like I'm buzz lightyear' and if anyone even dares misplace a pass the him and starts crying about how much of a hinderance it is to be on the pitch with someone who hasn't got superfootballblood like him. Always moaning at the ref, shagging girls and getting them pregnant then buying his own kid, horrible horrible person. Come on Karma knock this nobhead out.

Holland looks like they gave up after the Ronaldo goal. If Portugal had a decent striker on the team, this could be over by now.

I doubt Spain and Croatia will conspire against Italy tomorrow. It'd be hilarious if it happened, but unlikely. However, Italy's got no right to whine. If they wanted to avoid that situation, they have a simple solution: win your goddamn games, rather than settle for a draw.

I stand corrected. I think I'm remembering coverage of recent comments from the Prime Minister of Greece, as discussed here: http://jonathanturley.org/2012/05/15/is-greece-fudging-the-figures-on- world-war-ii-casualties/
