I'd love to see a (reanimated) Nixon step into a contemporary top-level national Republican strategy meeting, listen for a little while from the back of the room, then walk up to the conference table, sling away everyone's computers and notepads and shout "WRONNNG!!"
Cuz he would.

After that whole Tupac concert thing, I wouldn't be surprised if HoloDick isn't far off.

Free Radical: So when do the current crop of right-wing revisionists paint Nixon as the victim and portray the break in as a heroic act?

The DBS: I guess dragging out 40 year old crimes involving the White House is easier than looking at the ones being committed by the current White House occupant.

Fight the brave fight.

This long.

thamike: Dafatone: What about him says politician?

The rabid attachment to becoming a powerful politician, and staying that way no matter what, tipped me off. I'm sure the guy had a sense of humor somewhere, but he got rid of any semblance of humanity for the sake of power, which he abused regularly. Getting even with dad seems to be a recurring theme with some of these guys. It all makes perfect sense when looked at objectively.

Wait, are we still talking about Nixon or Romney?

Hehe, "just desserts". Which one stayed in office despite being impeached and which one resigned in disgrace despite being pardoned. They can't even be honest with themselves.

Resigned before being pardoned. Which is worse? Lying about a BJ or being on tape making statements like this: "God damn it, get in and get those files. Blow the safe and get it." (best presidential quote, ever.)

cybernia: "God damn it, get in and get those filessome of this Hawaiian pizza. Wait. Blow the safe me first and then get it."

I'm so glad Clinton wasn't foolish enough to record his shenanigans.

Sandusky should use the republican defense.

Blame Obama and the democrats saying it is a liberal conspiracy to attack a common sense conservative coach. He can then compare himself to Clinton getting a BJ. By doing so I am sure some people would defend him no matter what. (The DBS, Phil ...)

As a true god fearing conservative republican I am sure Sandusky just wanted to inject some fortitude into the boys and help America's youth see all that this great country has to offer.

Did you know there are a lot of Republicans out there who think that what they did to Clinton was nothing more than the JUST DESSERTS for what their party "did to" Nixon. They were aghast not at actual crimes committed, but the fact that anyone could hold congressional hearings on them. Since that time it has been revealed that Republicans don't see congressional oversight as a legitimate function of government to make better government. To them it is only a partisan tool with which to attack their enemy.

That's because conservatives are degenerates.

can I quote you on that ''degenerate'' thing?
