Captain Steroid: The "Most Wanted Man in Canada" got busted trying to cross into the States at a standard, run-of-the-mill border crossing? In the same damn truck every Mountie and Border Patrol officer, from the Pacific to the Atlantic, had been told to watch out for?

Those bowling balls he's carrying between his legs must really be cutting off the oxygen to his brain. Did he SERIOUSLY think no one would notice?

They've been announcing his description, truck description, license plate number between every song on the radio all farking day. And to cross at that major crossing where they obviously have taken every measure such as license plate readers, well trained guards and agents. This must have been his way of just turning himself in, or he's just the world's dumbest criminal.

/Edmontonian
/no I didn't know him but I'll bet I know someone who did considering all the people I know in Sherwood Park

Seriously though that farking photo they are circulating gives me chills. Shared some laughs and awful jokes with the guy.

Actually yes. lmao. I was checking his facebook page to see if we had any mutual friends, when I noticed that his profile pic is pretty telling. I thought it was fake when I saw it but if he is stupid enough to try to cross at the border than he is probably stupid enough for that profile picture.

I dunno, there's a lot to be said for your own bowling alley and all the milkshakes you can drink..

But in all seriousness, as a hurtin' Albertan I'm glad they caught this psychopathic fscker. Still waiting for the inevitable meth connection.. Sherwood Park AB = Borger TX for all of you Americans keeping up on this one.

CraicBaby: violentsalvation: I'm glad he was caught. I'm glad he won't get a moment to enjoy the money that cost three innocent lives. It makes me sick thinking about the families he destroyed for a bit of money.

Me too. If I could speak to Travis right now, I would say, "What the F*CK, man? What the goddamn f*ck were you thinking? You killed three innocent people. For what? For money? Because you were pissed at your mom again? Look what you did, Travis. LOOK WHAT YOU F*CKING DID, ASSHOLE. Three families have to bury their loved ones because of you, you self-centered cock. I hope it was worth it, sh*thead."

I wish I could go back in time and kick him in the nuts.

I wish someone could go back in time and take an axe to his spine and paralyze him before he could kill nice innocent people for money. It just makes me sick, and I am back where I started. IT IS ONLY MONEY!!

I'll never understand it.

I'm sorry you ever met the guy.

you're farking nuts dude, this is one of the most affluent areas in the province. It's a bedroom community where the average income is like 80,000 dollars. Give me a farking break; we're nothing like some meth shiathole in the bunghole of texas.

Edmontonian here, as well. Glad they caught the bastard and I'm surprised that this didn't get greenlighted the first time around. Maybe if it happened in a mall in Toronto...

I think you have Sherwood Park confused with Fort Saskatchewan.

Same here. I kept checking throughout the day yesterday and was surprised this didn't get a greenlight. Some dude walking across Niagara Falls gets a greenlight, but not this. Farking East Coast bias.

coke and weed, and mostly on their parents' dime. The kids around here tend to get a little drug-addled but it's not some crippling meth pandemic or any of that nonsense.

If you want to see all the meth heads, you need to go to the Avenue of Nations. I'm glad I don't live there anymore.

"Canadian armed robber caught on border."

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

/Seriously admin, is this really such a news flash

Three people were shot to death on a college campus. That shiat doesn't happen every day, dickbag.

heh. I've had D_Evans45 on ignore for quite some time. Thanks for reminding
me why. Anyway, what's with all the TFers knowing this guy? If I pay $5 will I get to meet some dumbass criminals?

Ohlookabutterfly: JonnyG: Benevolent Misanthrope: I count 5 people so far on TF who knew this guy. WTF? Does every-farking-body in Canada know everyone else or something?

Us Canadians does us a lotta drinkin' and a whole lotta meetin'. Good times.

Half way through the comments whilst drinking at the Sherwood Park Sawmill lounge and decided to share that I work with a fella who's step son went to school with the accused and my bartender RIGHT NOW went to school with him too! Says he had him on facebook before he deleted that shiat(facebook) from his life. I had to inform my bartender that an "expert" in the Edmonton Sun said the accused posted sooooo much significant tell-tale signs that he was about to commit mass murder that all his facebook friends are just as guilty for not seeing this coming.

To all dumbarse psychologists/criminologists/captains- obvious; thanks for closing the farking barn door after the horse has fled. You narcissistic, parsimonious, sanctimonious, odious vultures of humans being; Start predelicting when we ants under your microscope of hindsight are about to slap leather and send some innocent souls to their great reward, or SHUT THE HELL UP. People have lost loved ones. Show some respect.

We needs to be meetin' for beers.

Today for breakfast, I'm having beer boiled eggs, beer fried bacon, beer battered toast and potatoes. With beer.

Door's open.

The Edmonton geek community is very large, and massively interconnected. I never knew this guy, nor the victims, but several of my friends were close with Michelle.

Isn't Strathcona County the richest in the country because of all the refineries and such? I agree that Sherwood Park doesn't come anywhere close to having the level of drug problems they've got in the southern States.

CraicBaby: Oh, also, that shirtless pic was lifted by the Edmonton Journal from his Plenty of Fish profile. So, if you're looking for a date on PoF, be careful, because you might be hooking up with a creepy, murderous, douchebag.

HA! Reminds me of the public service commercial that Alberta ran for awhile called Plenty of Syph. An anti syphilys campaign.

make me some tea: LOL what a dumbass. He went to the US border? Canada's got a vast amount of land to get lost in forever.

Land on which money does you absolutely zero good. Brilliant thinking.

SumoJeb: Pinhedd: SumoJeb: Yay. Another jackass criminal to go through our amazing court system. I give him a month of jail time before the courts decide he can be out amongst the public.

You know that first degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence in Canada right? The courts have no say over that

Oh he will get off on some technicality. Probably be found to be insane or mentally unstable. He will get a hospital bed not a jail cell. He will be out in a matter of months. It's the Canadian way, eh?

Hey ignoramus; an insanity plea is basically saying "I submit, you can keep me locked up for as long as you think I am a threat."

Insanity pleas can get you locked away for life even if the crime's maximum sentence is finite.

plutonium238: Guns dont kill people......illogical greed and poorly thought out plans that lead to the destruction of families do.
/Canada needs to learn some American
Style wrath and enforce death penalties.
/why waste the tax dollars.

True story: Death row inmates (and their executions, if the criminals live to see them) cost FAR more than for-life inmates.

Also true story: I don't give a shiat what you think we need, we Canadians, in general, think the death penalty is barbaric and/or too likely to kill innocents.

Sherwood Park... coke heads and booze hounds... but meth!? wtf.. have you ever been to ... well... anywhere else in West Canada? Sherwood Park isn't all that bad. Hinton or Edson would be a worse place than SP.. and they are not even that bad...

GFOADIAF

You probably believe the con-propaganda that a massive crime wave is sweeping the nation and the only solution is to build more prisons, more prisons, more prisons.

what do we need more prisons for?! we don't even fill the ones we have. Canada's justice system is soft. This guy will be coddled and treated like a victim.

The justice system literally never, ever lets you go here. Committed a crime 5 years ago for which you served parole? Expect visits from the police.

Believe it or not but this kind of serious crime is rare enough here that it always garners national attention.

Also, true fact, there are a lot more Canadians on here than you realize.
