Indeed - except:

(A) "Begging the question" is a mistranslation of the Latin "petitio principii" which is a mistranslation of the Greek "to en arche lambanein" ------ better translation = "assuming the original point"

(B) Language changes - proper usage can arise out of errors. So "begging the question" has two senses: "assuming the original point" and "asks the question"

Strangely, it's a completely different set of insufferable pedantic know-it-alls in this thread altogether.

Probably!

I'm more upset that the story several people submitted about a player with the team I used to work for setting his apartment on fire "because God told him to" not getting greenlit. That one had everything, and it was submitted at least four times by someone who was not me.

/during the week, though, there seem to be no sports greenlights from 9-to-5.

If TO's involved, I have a feeling he'll at least try to make people notice. :)

Yeah, that was pretty crazy. (The story itself, and also the fact that it didn't get greenlit.)

Re: B - great, first irregardless, then orientated, and now this. Up next, "flustrated".

I'd better keep an ear to the ground for any open tryouts. :D

OT: there was this dude at Home Depot looked a lot like Edgerrin James (dreads, guns, ripped, etc.). I bet he could fill in for the Rattlers.
Anyway, he sold me a lamp.

It's possible he does play for the Rattlers. I know one guy on the Rattlers used to be on Spokane's team and worked at Home Depot during the season.

/did not have dreads or guns, he was a 6'7" WR
