1. Making them legal workers takes away a lot of potential cash-only labor for crooked business owners
2. As legal workers, they now pay income taxes on their wages; good for the Feds and state budgets
3. Even if they work hourly jobs, as legal workers, they can opt for insurance coverages, thus negating their need to use free care at ERs; saves healthcare dollars for everyone
