coldones: I had a similar situation near my old house. A pizza place named Pizza Town was changed into a Chinese restaurant. Instead of changing the name they left up the "Pizza Town" sign and put a "Chinese Food" sign beneath it to create "Pizza Town Chinese Food."

I played around with the Internet Anagram Server, and they could have rearranged Pizza Town Chinese Food to become

Whizz Defecation Spoon

(Or the more reasonable Fizz Dhow Cantonese Poi, a carbonated Arab/Chinese/Hawaiian fusion restaurant)

But still, I get the point. If images of sleeping Mexicans were abundant compared to images of people of other nationalities sleeping, then obviously that makes it a stereotype. (And it's a LOT easier to find images of sleeping Mexicans than it was to find these other images.) Whether it's a NEGATIVE stereotype or not is another matter: To me I see a guy who knows the smart thing to do during the heat of the day.
