I've actually wondered when something like this was going to happen. For the commuter rail, the conductor doesn't scan anything, he just punches the ticket. As long as you got the plastic right (they're very thin plastic, probably styrene) and the printing right (hello, Photoshop), I don't see how there isn't a huge amount of fraud already. Maybe there is.

FTFA: A fourth conspirator, Alex Saunders, 28, of Beverly, did not plea because his lawyer failed to appear at the hearing, but he is expected to plead guilty today.

No, it's funny everyday, but it's EXTRA funny on Fridays.

As a matter of fact, 9 out of 10 people actually enjoy gang rape.

Commuter Rail on the T always seems ripe for a scam or 50, the subways seem more locked down though.

FTFA: "Townes produced more than 22,000 unauthorized tickets worth approximately $4 million between March 2007 and March 2011"

Doing a little math, $4,000,000 / 22,000 = $181.82. Did this train ride come with whiskey and whores?

Who takes the train anymore? Bob Newhart was right, they don't want you there and they sure as hell let you know about it. Via Rail in Canada...some of the most miserable people you'd not want to meet.

Should have been sentenced to Sing-Sing. Amtrak goes under the prison.

No. But it should!
He made monthly commuter rail passes (rides from and back to the Boston suburbs) that have varying costs based upon ride distance. An estimated $181.82 value is a bargain for some people. Tickets in the outer stretches of ridership are in the mid $200's now and go up once per year.

Still cheaper than the DC metro
