(NECN Boston)   If you're involved in a hit and run homicide, take the extra few seconds to jump out and grab your license plate at the scene. Or you can have the cops swing by with it a few hours later   (necn.com) divider line 5

mortimer_ford: Shaggy_C: Not excusing this idiot BMW driver, but why in the world would you be riding a bike down a highway at 2AM?

I know plenty of folks that do this after the bar closes. It's a responsible way to avoid DUIs.

You can get a DUI on a bike, or a golf cart, or even on a horse. It isn't being responsible. It is being an asshole.

Know how I know you guys didn't RTFA?

Know how I know you don't comprehend what you read? It's because we aren't talking about TFA.

I think working at a Wendy's until 2am was punishment enough.

RIP young lady.

Something just like this happened right outside my house a few years ago. Someone in a minivan hit a guy on a bike and took off. He lived alone and was riding home with some groceries that were scattered across the road. While we were doing what we could for him (very little.. he was a mess... he'd gone under the van and been dragged), others cleaned up the road to prevent any more accidents. Someone found the front license plate of the minivan and we handed it over to the police when they arrived.
