All the victims have stopped.

All it would take is a chick with a coach gun under a coat.

Maybe the serial killer is one of the Mounties.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking - probably a LEO...

If the killer's in low Earth orbit, that explains why they haven't found him.

SharkTrager: The old US 491 and stretches of US 64 come to mind as candidates. The drunks that die along US 64 in northwest New Mexico alone would likely be more.

I think about the only part of US 64 that didn't strike me as a really good place to hide a body is the segment running through Tulsa. Even then, get past Bixby or Sand Springs...

Matthew Keene: The reason that this is occurring is that wages haven't kept pace with the services of a paid sex partner.

Read that as "sex panther..."

The sack across my back, the sound of sobbing on my shoulder.
When suddenly it stopped,
I opened up the sack, all that I had
A pool of bubbles and tears - JUST A POOL OF TEARS.

"This is a hard job and I'm not just saying that to win favour with lorry drivers - it's a hard job. Change gear, change gear, change gear, check mirror, murder a prostitute, change gear, change gear, murder. That's a lot of effort in a day."

Tat'dGreaser: Even if there is no serial killer, this is a good idea. The wilderness is called the wild for a reason.

A mountain lion or two is a real possibility.

apoptotic: SundaesChild: Truck diver?

I've wondered the same thing. Highway 16 also passes through Edmonton, which has dozens of unsolved murders/missing persons cases, so if they could be tied together it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be someone who was regularly travelling from here to the coast.

This.

I have also heard that there are most likely 2 serial killers operating in Edmonton, from all the human remains they find every spring on the outskirts of town.

//And yet teen girls keep hitchhiking.
