jayhawk88: karmaceutical: Woooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Hope this thunderstorm doesn't knock out my power. No seriously, big thunderstorm breaking overhead.

We're catching some in Kansas too. Wife's already in hail-panic mode. "They say it's going to come through..."

Just an isolated boomer here. Nice light show though.

jayhawk88: A bison I believe. Which is funny because we have more buffalo in McPherson County than all of Oklahoma, but whatever.

Oklahoma has some buffalo. I seen 'em with me own eyes! I didn't count 'em, but they were free-roaming. It was cool with that "it could charge me any minute, I think" terror in the back of my brain.

Heh, Simmons tweeting that Durant signed autographs in the stands for 20 minutes after warmups. Before Game 2 of the Finals. How can you not love this guy?

There's a game refuge up where I grew up that has a pretty substantial herd. It used to be one of the largest in the nation until keeping/breeding herds became a lot more popular with various states. Every year during the county fair they'd slaughter one and have the "Buffalo feed", basically just sliced BBQ sandwhiches for everyone who came to the fair.

Miami Heat are 14-3 in playoff games reffed by Dan Crawford since 2004. Lucky for them, Crawford is reffing Game 2. #Finals

Hm, interesting

Well it's got to suck to know that you're basically playing in the Finals for your job. Plus the stink lines Wade always draws on the white board over his head is just completely unnecessary.

Hey, Wade is alive in the first half...

2012-06-14 09:12:07 PM
Eh I guess I can't complain about a buffalo not having to do anything with the Thunder when the Suns have a gorilla mascot.

I'm a fan of Van Gundy calling the games, seems to get mixed reception around here. He's a little corny but I like the passion and he makes good overall points. Hopefully they can get Stan in there next year.

Di Atribe: coolio mack: And to touch on the 06 finals - the reffing was awful (as usual) and Wade got some phantom calls, no doubt. I blame Dirk because in that series he refused to play aggressive, shooting 20 foot fadeaway jumpers over guys 6 inches shorter than him. He would've gotten the same calls Wade would've gotten if he didn't play soft. It was almost like watching LeBron play in the finals last year.

Sorry, but when Wade gets more free throws than the entire Mavs team, don't talk to me about Dirk bein soft. That's revisionist history.

Call him soft or not but he refused to drive in that series. Wade played extremely aggressive and got the benefit of the whistle. That's just how I saw it, I had no rooting interest in the series. Either way you slice it the Mavs should've closed out that series out being up 2-0.

And for anyone who wants to keep saying that series was fixed or slanted toward the Heat because of the supposed Cuban bias, remember that Stern was in the midst of trying to grow the game globally and having Dirk win the title that year could've been huge for international growth.

Durant's too good right now for the Thunder to lose this series. I really think it's that simple. The shots are just coming way too easy for him for the Heat to keep him under control for the necessary amount of minutes.

It was always a part of the plan to be down double digits before the second quarter.

Nobody buys that line, you are the only person I've heard ever even attempt that argument. Stern would rather have Wade be the new Kobe than have the Mavs win a damn thing that year. That series was fixed, you ain't convincing any Dallas fans and most NBA fans otherwise.

They don't really need him yet. They're getting plenty of rebounds.

You don't have to buy anything, and you won't anyway since you think the NBA is fixed.

So we are going to pencil Crawford in for another Heat win right? (Mind you, the Heat are dominant, not saying a foul thing).

I do wish some website would put up all the stats about which officials are pro-home team vs. away and teams records when certain officials are calling the game. That would be a brilliant resource for gambling purposes and I'm surprised it doesn't exist now
