(Wonkette)   Gretchen Carlson finally snaps, storms off the set of Fox and Friends after Kilmeade's sexist joke #273. The giant cloud of Axe body spray probably didn't help, either   (wonkette.com) divider line 295

Of all the people at Fox News, Brian Killmeade is probably the one I'd most love to see get shot in the dick by a jilted gay lover.

As for Gretch... well... What did she expect when she joined this tard parade?

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat: What a horribly written "article". Can someone tell me what exactly happened to cause her to leave?

She clearly realized she was about to menstruate all over the couch. Therefore she decided to retire to refresh her daintyness.

Well, obviously, but I can't stream YouTube from this computer so I can't confirm.

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat: What a horribly written "article". Can someone tell me what exactly happened to cause her to leave?

According to TP

Thursday morning, Steve Doocy interviewed members of the U.S. Navy Band about the band's recent inclusion of women. Reacting to the segment, Brian Kilmeade remarked, "Women are everywhere. We're letting them play golf and tennis now. It's out of control." Visibly upset, Gretchen Carlson, the only female host, walked off of the set. "You read the headlines. Since men are so great. Take them [women] away," she said. Kilmeade responded, "All right. Finally." Then, as she walked further off of the set, Kilmeade jeered, "Leaving an all male crew" and added "she needed a shower."

They made some cracks about "letting" women do things, and she casually walked off set, laughing, telling the other cohost to read the headlines, since he's a man.

It was pretty tame, and I'd caution anyone about trying to make too much hay out of it.

Too bad she'll be bound by a NDA when she leaves. Unless she's set and doesn't need their severance package of course.

Ed Finnerty: Hey Fox, your War on Women is showing.

I refudiate your claim. I've been told by very well-respected newsmen, on both AM radio and the television, one of whom had a statue dedicated by a state government to commemorate him for all that he's done for humanity, that the war on women is coming from the left. Unless, of course, you are also ready to make the absurd claim that these people are lying to me and that they are cheerleaders in this "GOP war on women?"

With a guy, the louder he gets the more dangerous he gets. Not so with women. A woman who speaks perfectly calm is far more dangerous than the most cracked-out crazy girl. Crazy girl will try and hit you, or sic her boyfriend on you. Quiet woman will DESTROY you.

As opposed to Kilmeade who just has a punchable face.

Kilmeade is the guy who once opined that Swedes have a lower divorce rate than Americans because they're more racially pure. He wasn't joking that time.

Yeah. The clue was when she was saying things like "Oh no, you go ahead and read the headlines, take 'em away! In all your glory, go for it."

That's that "I'm being really nice, but one day, when you're not looking, I'm going to take your penis away from you" tone. Not Steve Doocy needs to sleep with one eye open for awhile. Maybe the rest of his life if Carlson is the kind of woman capable of just waiting and waiting and waiting. (Most women are that kind of woman - terrifyingly patient)

Incitement to violence = tolerance from the left. Are you the reason conservatives need to hire bodyguards?

Also, nice hypocrisy. Because I'm sure you think this statement is funny whereas the F&F segment which was clearly a joke must be a "war on women". Their words must be taken with 100% unforgivable seriousness, but your words... come on, only kidding?

And is used to his female co-host just sitting there and either ignoring it or laughing along. Just like she pretends to be as stupid as her co-hosts (and/or viewers).

It reminded me of Jon Stewart's comments from a couple years ago:

Link

Jon Stewart went after "Fox & Friends" host Gretchen Carlson last night. Saying she plays the "troubled mom, just trying to make sense of this modern country," Stewart explained Carlson seems to be dumbing herself down in order to connect with an audience that sees intellect as an elitist flaw.

After showing clips of Carlson talking about Googling the words "ignoramus" and "czar," Stewart was flabbergasted:

How do you get a job on television if you appear to be one of those people who need to pin their address to their coat so a stranger can help them find their way home?

Determined to get to the bottom of it, Stewart conducted a Google search of his own. According to his findings, this "troubled mom" is a graduate of Stanford and a classically trained violinist. With this in mind, Stewart challenged Carlson: "I don't want to have to turn you on tomorrow to see you're actually surprised that the Interior Secretary is in charge of the outside stuff."

This is the show where they literally read off talking points from RNC memos, so what do you expect? Intelligent discourse?

As excited as we all seem to be, take a deep breath. She seemed annoyed, but I wouldn't really call that "Storming off set." She'll be back on air tomorrow, maybe they'll make some lighthearted news banter between each other pretending like the whole thing was on purpose. 'You going to behave today? Ha ha, yeah." And that's that.

This was not some great moment where the lady figurehead of fox news got tired of the sexist bullshiat and became a feminist. They all drink the cool-aid there, and i'm sure she gets paid well. No one is going to turn this into the political statement it should be.

jigger: Wow, she sure was OUTRAGED!

She was, actually. And Kilmeade was pretty mad, too. You expect a meltdown on live TV from professional broadcasters, as unprofessional as their actual broadcasts might be?

Kilmeade isn't replying that she's leaving an "all-male crew" by walking off; that's last-wordism right there, a way of saying "biatch you want strong women but walking off is doing the opposite lol ur dumb." She's not saying things like "...in all your glory" in jest. You can hear him repeat the same words back, sarcastically, through a forced smile.

Anybody that thinks that wasn't tense and uncomfortable as fark has to have Autism or something; their vocal intonation, their body language, the back-and-forth, the way Kilmeade tries repeatedly to get the last word and defuse anything Carlson says.
