(IGN)   Turns out Lollipop Chainsaw is just like a real high-school cheerleader: Beautiful to look at and fun at the beginning, but the second she opens her mouth you're over it   ( divider line

whizbangthedirtfarmer: There has not been a game yet that I am willing to spend more than 40-50 bucks on. Even the games I know I will like and have tons of prerelease buzz (Skyrim, Dark Souls), I will wait several months before buying. I would argue that there will be very few people willing to spend 100 bucks on a game, regardless of how great it is. $60 is the mental barrier, and it always has been. I remember buying Street Fighter for Genesis at $60 brand new. It won't change, no matter how great the games are. The only thing they can do is to release a game and DLC it to death.

I wonder where the breaking point is going to be with future games: Release a game w/ 10% of the actual content on the disk and then cajole you into d/ling the rest of it off of their servers for a premium price?

That will be the death of console gaming right there.

Ed Finnerty: Old enough to know better: Looks like the "SyFy Original" of video gaming. Sad.

Wake me when FO4 is out

and patched to stable.

//I've played every one, but goddamn man, try using a debugger when writing code. It really makes development easier.

whizbangthedirtfarmer: Meh. Gamestop pressed so hard to get people to preorder this. I can't say I'm surprised to hear it reminded me a little of Dead Island. All fluff, no content.

Despite the myriad of flaws with Dead Island, I honestly can't remember a recent game my friends and I have had more fun with. Some of the glitches even made it funner. Nothing gamebreaking, just a lot of "Hey, take a look at this glitch!" or mocking the bad voice acting.

It dropped down to 45 already on Amazon. You can pretty much gauge how much people are liking the game on how long it stays full price.

For every zombie Juliet Starling decapitates with her chainsaw, someone calls her a whore, talks about masturbating to her, or comments on her gigantic breasts. In and out of combat, the primary goal of Lollipop Chainsaw is the money shot, whether it's up Starling's skirt or down her shirt.

That sounds like a damn near perfect video game.
