Everything good is despite of Obama!

Do I have it all correct?

ohio is doing remarkably well right now. if you ask ohioans if they're better off than they were four years ago, most would say yes.

Can we pick another state to have the first elections in? Maybe move it around every year? Iowa is starting to think it matters!! This can not be allowed!

People have been abandoning Ohio for decades now and next census should bring them down to 10 representatives and back into obscurity. They need to start election in states people want to live in not states people are too lazy or scared to move out of. Other than hog farmers why would anyone live in Iowa?

Ug. I have to be in Ohio at the end of the month.

At least it's in the "nice" part (south eastern Ohio in the hills and forests.)

So it doesn't matter who the President is. You sure you want to run with that, Mr. Presidential Campaign Guy?

Yup, the guy who immediately pre-smackdown Romney assured everyone he was "110% behind".

The ineptness of Romney's team never ceases to astonish me. Sometimes I have to wonder if they're under instruction from GOP leadership to tank the election and Romney's flip-flops are caused by instances of his brain stomping its feet and whining "but I wanna be President!"

Ohio has 16 reps, down from 18 in the 2000's, and a 2010 population of 11.5 million.

State with 10 reps right now (based on 2012 E.V. - 2 senators):
Washington , population 6.8 million.

Now, Ohio's population is actually up over 20 years ago, so, it isn't that its population is going down (it is basically stagnant, slightly rising), it is that other states populations are increasing at much higher rates. At its height, it had 24 reps in the 1970s.

Ohio MAY end up as low as 10 representatives eventually, but, I'd bet against it heavily by 2020.

I love the town. Started working downtown this spring. 5 weeks later, had my rear window smashed and my wallet stolen while it was parked in broad daylight and across the street from the courthouse, where there's a lot of police patrols.

That being said, the food is awesome around here. Schmidt's (and World of Beer) down one side, ton of good food to the north.

I had my car broken into at a hotel on Dublin-Grandville road at 71. I'd stayed at that hotel dozens of times before and never had a problem. The cops told me the neighborhood around it has really gone to shiat and there was one particular neighborhood crackhead that was responsible for the majority of car burglaries. This was on a Friday night and luckily a friend of mine who lives there found me the only glass place in the entire metro area that worked on Saturday. I stay far far away from there when I go there now.

Not fixing a mess it took 8 years to make in 3 years with backbiters and haters trying to get in the way every single step? Clearly this man's an incompetent president.

To recap, 8 is more than 3. Write this out, read it out loud, have a parent talk it over with you if you need the help.

I misplaced my Derp to English dictionary, but I think what you're saying is that Obama is too incompetent to be president because all he does is blame his predecessor. Correct? So by that logic (and I use that word loosely), the Republicans should be disqualified from the election because all they do is blame Obama.

zappaisfrank: I haven't been to Cleveland in over a decade.

Cleveland is starting to undergo the same transformation that Pittsburgh made, going from blue collar to white collar. Our hospitals are among the best on the planet, to the point where foreign leaders routinely come to Cleveland when they need medical attention. There's always a game or a concert or something to do. Yeah, it's buried under 10 inches of snow for half the year and the east side is still liable to get you mugged or killed, but the city as a whole is nowhere near as bad as every lame comedian over the past 25 years would have you believe.

Interesting how the Republican knotheads have convenient amnesia about how it was "But..CLINTON" everywhere you looked for the first four years of Georgie Boy's presidency.

Just think..if it hadn't been for Obama's stimulus, all those bright red Republican states would have had no money to balance their state budgets with, which is where a huge chunk of it went. Those same states are running deficits now because the funds have dried up. (Yea, I'm looking at you, Texas!)
