So, we will fight to the death to prevent the US from being influenced by foreign law, but we'll let Israel dictate our foreign policy. Got it.

2012-06-14 09:58:51 AM
No farking clue whatsoever. What a farking disaster this guy would be as POTUS.

ROMNEY: The actions that I will take will be actions recommended and supported by Israeli leaders. I don't seek to take actions independent of what our allies think is best, and if Israel's leaders thought that a move of that nature would be helpful to their efforts, then that's something I'll be inclined to do. But again, that's a decision which I would look to the Israeli leadership to help guide. I don't think America should play the role of the leader of the peace process, instead we should stand by our ally. Again, my inclination is to follow the guidance of our ally Israel, as to where our facilities and embassies would exist.

holy fark. the guy is a dangerously incompetent moron.

Holy shiat.

He really said that?

He really said that he'd abdicate U.S. policy to be directed by a FOREIGN POWER?

While we're at it, let's let China set our Far East Policy, Pakistan set our South Asia Policy, Egypt our North African policy, Zimbabwe our sub-Saharan Africa policy, Germany our European policy, Russia our central Asian policy, and Venezuela our South American policy.

Then we can just get rid of our State Department altogether. Frankly, I'm dumbfounded.

2012-06-14 10:26:13 AM
So nothing different then.

2012-06-14 10:27:11 AM
Seriously, Scalia threw a hissy fit at the mere suggestion of abiding Mexican legal precedent, and Romney is outright saying that he'll defer to Israel on foreign policy.

Can you imagine the right wing noise machine's outrage if Obama said " I don't think America should play the role of the leader..."?

Nuh-uh no wayyyyyy. I wonder if this will even be picked up by mainstream media here. I just google searched "I would look to the Israeli leadership for guidance" and I got nothing in return mentioning this. Same goes for "Romney Israel" and "Romney Israel Guidance". Probably will end up as a joke on The Daily Show/Colbert Report and that's it.

That is a weird thing to say, you could come out in strong support of Israel to appeal to the end times nutters that make up a large portion of your party without saying you'll take the back seat in our foreign policy regarding the middle east. For a guy that has been campaigning for almost a decade you'd figure he'd say less stupid shiat.

From Somacandra's link:

How would you judge Obama's policy and how much, if you're in the White House, would you change it?

Weakness begets adventurism, and the president has shown weakness by extending his hand for a summit in his first year of office with Ahmadinejad only to have it slapped down. By being silent as protesters took to the streets in Iran, by not establishing crippling sanctions against Iran for their nuclear program, and by not mouthing a credible military threat to their ongoing nuclear program. The right course is for the president to declare that a nuclear Iran is unacceptable to America, and to punctuate that commitment. I have called for us to deploy two aircraft carrier task forces, one to the gulf, one to the Mediterranean to communicate our resolve in that regard.

The lies just fly right out of his mouth. It literally nauseates me.

A little shake of the Etch-A-Sketch will fix that right up.

Either that, or he'll just refuse to answer questions about things he's said.

He's grown quite comfortable with both approaches.

Sheldon Adelson's donations to Romney will be "limitless"

Adelson is one of the 15 wealthiest people on the world, and he hates Obama socialism and loves Israel.

/Then again, this is the same guy who gave tens of millions to Gingrich, and Gingrich didn't win.

Well golly that should work out super-well for us, huh?

"Middle East peace cannot possibly be obtained without a $900 billion arms investment from the United States."
"Wow, that seems excessive, but hey, you're the experts! Do I make that out to 'Israel', or just 'Jews', or what?"

Duke Phillips' Singing Bears: How is it EVERYTHING that comes out of this man's mouth is an idiotic pile of bullsh*t nonsense? How is that f*cking possible?

He was swaddled in privilege and comfort his entire life; he never got the corrective backhands that life typically delivers to other young people as they say/do stupid things, so now he's at a disadvantage when he has to interact with people who aren't paid to gently cup his balls and work the shaft and smile adoringly at his word-spew. It's tragic in a way, and yet he manages to carry himself with a quiet, inept dignity.

That's a whole lot of lies AND stupidity:
How is offering to talk with someone weakness? Especially when you can use it to show that THEY'RE the ones not willing to negotiate?
Silence was deliberate, as not to give Iran a legitmate claim that we're meddling in their internal affairs. You know, kinda like how the Axis of Evil speech screwed over moderates in Iran and helped propel the hardliners back into (firmer) power.
He did establish crippling sanctions. Is Romney even paying attention to current events?
He has made military threats.
Who gives a shiat about carrier groups? For one, we already HAVE them in the area and even ignoring that, they're in range of HOW MANY of our perm. air bases in the mideast region, let alone Europe?

Wonder how much of this he actually believes.
