That's a lot of work for a DVD player.

If only we could record people committing crimes for our amusement and put it on prime time TV. That would keep us entertained.

According to police they stole televisions, cigarettes and coffee

I'd pay to see those TV sets going through the sunroof.

Romanian police often blare claasical music out of their cars when pulling over a suspect's vehicle....

They refer to this as a...

Bach arrest.

If that truck hits a bump, a plasma screen might fly out of the left open door and really fark up his day.

Fast and Furious reference...not a Paul Walker/Vin Diesel reference.

How do they know where the thieves sold the stuff? If the farking helicopter was on them the whole time, where were the cruisers? How did the helicopter know they were going to rob the truck?

I don't think I want to try to handle a flat screen tv box while in the turbulence behind a truck while hanging on the hood of a car. It's bad enough on a motorcycle.

I saw this clip on the news last night. I couldn't help but wonder if the driver of the truck was in on the whole thing. It seems almost impossible that the truck maintained that perfect speed for as long as it took for them to open the back and climb in. It's also impossible that the driver of the truck never saw anything.

I thought the same thing until he closed the door of the truck. I figure he closed it because the truck was empty. If the driver was in on it, he probably wouldve let him know theres nothing to steal.

So the thief climbed onto the bonnet while hurtling down the motorway in order to reach the lorry? Lucky he didn't slip on the windscreen, go arse over elbow across the boot, and land in the carriageway. Now that video would be the dog's bollocks!

Long strait road, what would he be changing speeds for?
Also, the video looks like thermal imaging. So I can't tell if the SUV's lights are on or if Romanian roads are lit properly.

Its possible that a driver in front could be oblivious to a car behind him that's blacked out on a dark road.

/Also possible that he's afraid of stopping, swerving or speeding to avoid the land pirates.
/Maybe he phoned the cops who then redirected a helicopter there?

Yeah, the cannibal thing was a little disturbing.

Protip: always scroll to the bottom of a dailyfail article to see the four articles & accompanying pictures that have the highest chance of being NSFW.

It's also possible that the truck driver realized what was going on, but wasn't willing to swerve because even though it sucks to get robbed, he'd rather have a TV or two get stolen, than have some stupid kid splattered all over the road.

I was going to say Tonka, but, pinewood derby is more precise. They look so fake except for when the people climb out of the sun roof.

You guys both make good points.
Well, in any case, that was a seriously ballsy move on the part of the robbers.

Holy brass balls, Batman! I wonder how many of their associates got turned into road jam perfecting this technique? It looks to me like they need to do a little more research though. That's a hell of a lot of risk to go to just to find an empty truck, or one filled with potatoes or something.
