This is exactly how I would imagine the inventor of C++ to look:

The BS is evident when it was stated that there were too many competent C programmers.

My C++ course started out with a class on OOP. The instructor was using using a poker game as a target for a programming exersize. He requested the students list all the objects in a poker game. Sudents listed the deck of cards, each card, the players, and the dealer. The instructor then asked, isnt the money an object? Several students agreed, but I spoke up and said, "No. Money is not object. My wife said so."

It took 10 minutes to get the class back on course.

theurge14: UNAUTHORIZED FINGER: It's interesting to me to see how many people in this thread I've favorited because of comments in threads that have nothing to do with programming. Don't let anyone tell you that programmers are one-dimensional. And no, I'm not a programmer. Just someone who is interested in everything.

Are we all to expect an unauthorized finger sooner or later?

We all get one in the end.

I heard that John McCarthy once admitted that Lisp was developed in order to corner the market on parentheses.

Everybody knows that Snopes is a conspiracy to try to dismiss these facts as hoaxes.
