Well, there is only so much body area.

True, but it does not end well... Especially if one is prone to sweating under stress.

Need to cheat on your collage entrance exam?

There's an app for that.

GranoblasticMan: I never understood the mentality of "closed-book, closed-notes" tests. Granted, I played the game by the rules and was always one of the lucky ones who just tests well, but after school, when you're out in the "Real World," we call cheat sheets "reference material."

Case in point: I'm a chef. I had to memorize all sorts of temperatures and other regulations for my ServSafe certification. That's fine and dandy, and it is good to know it off-hand, but you'd be fooling yourself if you think minimum internal temperature charts aren't plastered all over the kitchen.

The weirder stuff I had to memorize for that test, though, was lighting requirements in different parts of the restaurant (I believe it was in lumens?). Yeah, not sure how to test that exactly without what must be needlessly expensive equipment.

Uhg, i remember that question. I got a 98% on my servsafe somehow, but i didnt bother memorizing some of the stuff just because it wasnt worth my time and you could get a 75% and still pass. I mean, do i really need to know which type of fish cause scromboid poisoning? Or what the symptoms of red tide poisoning are? Im not a doctor, all i really need to know is to keep the damn shellfish tags for at least 90 days because as a chef theres really not much you can do about it. Besides buying from a reputable purveyor and not serving stuff that smells/looks off.

/and dont put raw chicken above ready to eat stuff in the cooler

hobblekitty: Incidentally, after doing all that I knew the material really well and barely needed to reference the sheet

One of my first courses at the junior college was a psych 101 and the first week was spent on "How to study". Make A Cheat Sheet was a praised method because it meant that you had to carefully cover a topic.

I wish I remembered anything else from that course. I sort of want my money back because I don't remember anything else from that course.

for entrance exams at least they are designed to limit entrance by being a f*cking massive pain in the ass while retaining a hint of rational meritocracy function.
