Moopy Mac: Abe Vigoda's Ghost: AdolfOliverPanties: TheDumbBlonde: Are black babies THE new Hollywood accessory?

Not sure how to respond to this. Are you a stupid racist or an adoption advocate who is just unaware of the adoption rates of different races?

It does seem to be a Hollywood trend for white actresses/actors to adopt a black baby. It has come to a point where it looks like it's more for show, then actual need for these children. At that point; then yes, they are an accessory.

/I don't think that was a racist question.

Odd since that question is usually asked by the racist and/or ignorant.

/It's really hard to adopt a white American baby, not nearly as hard to adopt a black American baby.

I am neither racist or ignorant. I don't think the initial question was racist in nature. I think that perhaps some people are being a bit sensitive.
Also, I think you'll find most of these babies being adopted are not from the US. It's also difficult and expensive to adopt children from overseas.

People prefer to adopt children from overseas because (i) they can get white (Russian) babies abroad and not at home, (ii) they don't have to worry about the kid's birth parents coming into the picture and/or (iii) some people believe orphans in undeveloped nations are SOL relative to orphans in developed nations.

And from previous celebrity adoption threads, I'm quite confident there were some racist undertones to the initial question. The implication of these types of comments seems pretty clear and are repeated in every one of these types of discussions.

Issue number three: This bald chick - what's with her head? Let's start with the chick. What gives, cue ball? I'm looking at you, I'm thinking: fourteen in the side pocket!

Bravo! One of the most hilarious skits ever on SNL. Remember seeing that when it first aired; seems like just yesterday.

Phil Hartman, Chris Rock, David Spade, Dennis Miller, Chris Farley, et. al., was last best era on SNL.

Ya know... I actually enjoyed it. Mind you it was at a theater that allows you to reserve seats in a balcony type area where you can bring in drinks from their bar... so a good amount of yum yum juice running through the veins at the time... but wifey and I enjoyed the movie except for KS's scenes. Charlize was incredible and the visual effects and imagery were really pleasing on the eyes.

Kristen is by far the worst actress I've seen in any major production, by far. It seemed like they tried to minimize her as much as possible. It led to what could have been a very interesting story about the queen instead of Snow, but since it started as a workaround was never fully developed. Still, easy enough to watch despite the girl with a fly catching mouth.

/Crows go splat

It definitely would have been better if I had been drinking. I agree that the visual effects (and costumes) were good. I liked the huntsmen, but I couldn't figure out what he saw in Stewart. She is definitely terrible, and she ruined it for me. I thought a lot of it was really boring, actually. I usually love Charlize, but I even thought she was a little off (over-acting). Meh. Next.

This. Especially when they're followed up by somebody complaining that they "never get a straight answer." That question was answered multiple times in this thread alone. Start farking paying attention already.

The idiot was complaining about white stars adopting black babies.

The fact that Ms. Theron is from South Africa gives her a good reason to adopt a black baby.

Now go back under your rock.

fusillade762: If she was Weyland's daughter why was she going by the name "Vickers"? What was her motivation to hide her true lineage from the rest of the crew?

She didn't want the crew knowing who daddy is?

The author of the screenplay has said she wasn't an android. She was jealous of David, because David was the son she never could be.

Don't you think having Dad make a male robot version of you could be enough to not want people to know your lineage?

I'm not gonna say I prefer it or anything, but I wouldn't kick any woman out of my bed just because she wanted to try a shaved head that I would have allowed into my bed in the first place.

It's been widely held that the show viewership had a really bad reaction to the haircut and was soon cancelled.

She was better in that other show, "Running Wilde." And she had her hair back. Co-incidence?
