Oh, shut up. Its 3 months. Mike Vick was in prison for 2 years and came back to be a top-tier athlete.

Whatever you lost in 3 months, I'm sure you can put back on in 3 months.

2012-06-12 04:11:11 PM
He's worried that if he loses too much muscle mass, he won't be able to beat up the mother of his children in front of them.

2012-06-12 04:32:50 PM
Mayweather claims his doctor is concerned about his "dehydrated appearance, his lack of muscle tone and his dry mucus membranes."

For a tough guy he sure sounds like a pussy.

Funny. Every OTHER dude who goes into the joint comes out ripped to the nostrils. There's f*ck-all to do in there BUT lift weights.

This guys sounds like a really sweet person.

Josie Harris filed a request for a restraining order against Mayweather -- and in the docs she states that Floyd came into her Las Vegas home Thursday morning and awoke her by, "pulling me by my hair and throwing me on the ground in my living room and began punching me in my head."

She claims Floyd then began "dragging me on the floor and twisting my arm back ... in attempt to try and break it."

According to the documents, Josie claims Floyd "continued to beat me in front of [the couple's three children].

Josie claims that Floyd threatened the children -- saying if they "ran or tried to call the police he would beat them the same way."

In the docs, Josie also says Mayweather "yelled and screamed that he was going to kill me and my boyfriend and make sure we are taken care of."

Sure, send him home. Why not?

How about a compromise? Stick him in gen pop.

Any pro boxer who can't KO a SLEEPING WOMAN with one punch should be hanging up the gloves.

Unless he was pulling punches so he could drag it out and hit her more.

He should have thought about his career before he started beating up his wife.

I keep getting an image of the end of that movie The One where Jet Li is at the top of a pyramid and fighting off an endless supply of cons.

FYI -- Floyd is currently locked up for beating his baby mama in front of their kids last year.

In almost any other sport, I'd say keep him in jail.

But I don't see the problem. when a boxer goes crazy. Just make a shirt that says "I beat women." a mandatory part of his house arrest. Hook it to the bracelet, which should be around his neck.

Well, while I call BS in general that he can't get back to form when he's out.... he's essentially in solitary 23 or whatever hours per day because he's famous. Typical security measure.

My point aside... for the guys who do lift weights every day... I thought lifting weights was only part of gaining muscle mass. They only get like 800 calories per day of food.

Just curious now that you brought it up.

A man who is regarded worldwide as a coward, is indeed a coward.

Prison is bad for your health! Who f*cking knew?

Silmply let him resume training and join the PCP boxing league.

I gotta call BS on that one. 800 calories isn't even half the caloric requirement to maintain basal metabolism in an adult. You'd have inmates dying of starvation left and right if that was true.

He's just getting his excuses ready for when he eventually loses to Pac man.

Yeah, c'mooon. He's a godlike boxing legend. All he did was beat up some dumb anonymous woman. Why should his physical form have to suffer because he hit, essentially, a non-person?

I read a more detailed article on this earlier. Supposedly, Mayweather is refusing to eat some of his food and the reason he is dehydrated is because he doesn't want to drink tap water (they don't allow bottled water). The guy is just whining.

He's a trained hitting machine with chronic brain damage.

Give him some angel dust and let him go in the steel cage elemination matches.

Gladiators man. "We who are about to die are tripping balls!" It would be glorious. Also messy. Then the President could name a horse Secretary of the Interior and start flinging vipers out of a catapult at the hoi polloi before declaring war on the devil and trying to drill into hell to nuke his butt. (yeah yeah, two different emperors. gimme a break)

He is, according to Espn, the single highest paid athlete on the planet making $50mm this yr alone. Let that sink in for a second.

Every time he whines extend the sentence by 3 months.

That's a lot of milimeters!

Maybe he's suffering from a lack of yes men in prison as well.

And more often than not, his purses get hacked up by the IRS for failure to pay them on income from previous fights.

MaxxLarge: Funny. Every OTHER dude who goes into the joint comes out ripped to the nostrils. There's f*ck-all to do in there BUT lift weights.

He's probably not allowed in GP which is where the weight room is. Also a lot of boxing is running assignments as well and a specific diet of foods to maintain the correct weight. He isn't going to get any of those things in the special ward. Maybe if they moved him to General he could, but the problem with that is everyone will be gunning for him.

He's a well known boxer, you think no one in prison will want to test themselves out vs. him?

That being said, tough shiat. Do you 90 days and get back into shape afterwards. People aren't going to feel sympathy for you.

Most jails and prisons have gotten rid of weights. Convicts are now forced to improvise. But that's one of the things to do, invent exercises and make equipment to use in your cell. Mayweather's not trying very hard.

This, I read a story somewhere else where his lawyer was saying that since is in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day he is not able to maintain his body... I say they give him a straw and tell him to "suck it the fark up" if he doesn't like it don't hit people outside of the ring... it's not that hard of a concept.

Satanic panic in the attic: Every time he whines extend the sentence by 3 months.

If only.

2012-06-12 09:45:42 PM
Not a damn thing keeping him from doing push-ups, crunches, squat thrusts, running in place or shadow boxing. And it's not the job of the jail to keep him in fighting shape, just healthy. And the stated health issues are because he's refusing to drink the available water or eat most of the available food.

He's only in for 90 days so he isn't in a prison, he's in a county jail. There are no weight rooms and yards at county jails like there are in prisons.

He actually wants to be in gen pop. Why give a convicted felon what he wants?

n the papers, 35-year-old Floyd estimates he only has 2 years of boxing left in his career ... so every day counts.

If he doesn't fight Pacquiao those days are worthless.

Yeah, but he volunteered to do it in an apartment instead of his mansion, so he's really going to suffer.

Only things I can think of that he can't do in prison would be

1) Running/Swiming/Cardio
2) Sparring (err...well he could, but not without getting additional sentencing.)
3) Hitting the bags.

The rest would be exercising, weights, etc. If he's training for fight weight he wouldn't even need heavy weights. Do some shadow boxing in your cell with anything you can find that weighs 2-5lbs.

Macgyver could do it.

Well that and you know... most plyometrics, neck development, mitt work, ring movement drills, jump rope, medicine ball exercises, and the list goes on and on.

/He got off easy as it is, he should suck it up.

You poor man. Most people get out of jail and get a big promotion when they go back to old job.

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. says he's begun to shrivel up into a puny regular person during his first 12 days in the big house ...
