I think Subby was planning this headline for days, praying Czech would win. Still, pretty good.

That's the best soccer headline that hasn't involved the word divegrass in a long time.

HOTY material? Sounds like something a comic would say on open mic night at some local bar.

Na. You could make the same joke if they won. "Greece bounces another bunch of Czechs" or some such.

Gee...wonder when the Czechs play Spain? Econo Weenies worldwide are a little nervous about that result

For people who haven't been following the tournament, it's probably pretty funny.

For those of us that have, for every "GREECE BOUNCE CZECHS LOL" quip, a puppy dies somewhere.

Headline would be good, except for the fact that someone made the exact same joke in the actual soccer thread below.

It is pretty sad when people have to steal shiat and pass it off as their own. That makes me sick. Friggin' sick.

Maybe the person who came up with it, submitted the headline?

I was going to wade through that thread, but I ran out of magic spray for my mousewheel finger.

Have you ever had a peach, so succulent and ripe, that you smell it across the room? And when you bite into it, it's like a sexual release? You savor the taste, and eagerly lick the juices from your hand. Scarlett Johanson, and this headline, are just like that.

Yeah. Personally I'd been holding out for a "Russia crushes Poland, this is not a repeat from 1939" opportunity, but no such luck. Still a chance that Germany and Poland meet in a later round, though.

There's no W/L combination of any two European countries in any sport that one can't make a pun/amusing historical reference/quip out of them.

Otto von Habsburg heard two people talking about the previous day's soccer. "Excuse me", he said, "I couldn't help overhearing you mention the Austria-Hungary game. Could you tell me who we were playing?"

Golf clap for the headline.

Yeah, Greece is screwed.

I'm supporting Greece and Spain. Just like the rest of Europe.

Wow, lots of butthurt from people who wish they submitted this headline first.

I read that using the voice of Dennis Miller. Well done!

Greece was screwed this game because of the Bullshiat red from the ref against Poland. Czech simply attacked the side of the defender that was out.

MyRandomName: Greece was screwed this game because of the Bullshiat red from the ref against Poland. Czech simply attacked the side of the defender that was out.

One Greek central defender got a red vs Poland and the other central defender was injured in that game. And Czech have made it clear that they went for the middle of the defense. Though I was surprised they didn't start pekhart or necid (two tall strikers) over baros, whom everyone but the coach has turned on.

Saturday will be great, there will be a huge contingent of Czechs and both sides will have all day to booze it up

Also, headline has been done 1000x before.

Where are the jokes about Russia's coach Dick Advocaat?
