Bathia_Mapes: And unlike the U.S., they actually disciplined the officers.

displine: You really shouldnt have done that.
officers: meh

I would only be happy with: were fired for being clearly too stupid to be sworn officers.
farking common sense tells you that this is not a clear and present danger and that you can arrest them tomorrow or when they get back from their honeymoon.

FFS, these type of arrests should require sign off from the DA and a judge.
(who knows, maybe they did)

the only way to clear this up would be to raid the officers' houses at 2am with guns drawn and tear gas. arrest the officers and do a full forensic search of their bodies.

ha-ha-guy: I was told after my first interview we needed to come back for a second interview since they thought it was a marriage of connivence. So I did some constructive editing of the photo album. The first 10 pages were photos from the time I spent in the military and the various marksmanship awards I won. The next 5 where photos of me with my person weapons stash.

So do you actually believe that you somehow threatened a public official by showing him your guns and manly ability? He couldn't possibly have just been a nice guy or didn't care or saw something else in you that the previous interviewer didn't? No not a chance, he was afraid of you and your big bad guns. Do you really believe this? If you do isn't that threatening a federal official? Isn't that a felony?

It's more likely the guy wanted to help out a serviceman or even more likely that he just didn't give a shiat and pushed the papers through because he deals with passive aggressive bullshiat from people like you all day long and has given up.

They did this on the basis of an anonymous tip? Seriously?

A PSNI spokesperson confirmed that as a result of a PONI investigation three police officers were disciplined.

OMG. PONI thread?

What a poni investigator might look like:

mytdawg: What's with all the single quotes in article? WTF?

Though the US custom is double-quotes, the Brits use singles. But the paragraph spacing--a dozen one-sentecne paragraphs--made that unreadable.
