P$ just had to explain this to me.

I think this is it for me folks. A rape scene in a movie or TV show is one thing, but Vince and Co., is trying to pass this off as real to gullible people. I can't, I just can't, there is a line for me and raping a corpse is on the other side of it. This really upsets me. I realize I have been emotional today, because this AJ thing obviously touches a nerve for me, and I was just gonna back off and give it rest for a week or two to chill. But this is too much.

I am actually in tears right now, not only because I am so upset by the thought of this being passed off as real, but because I love the fWc and I don't wanna go. If I had known about this story line I never would have started watching wrestling again in the first place. Little kids look up to this guy. This is disgusting.

It would be if Linda wasn't running for office. That is obviously the only thing reining in Vince McMahon's sickness.

Please someone tell me that TNA, ROH and Chickara have never run a storyline like this? I would really like to still enjoy the fWc without having to watch WWE.

I think Chikara has always been geared to a family audience, ROH I don't think has the budget for any kind of backstage stuff like that, but to be honest TNA is the most likely to do something like this, even moreso than WWE now though.

The WWE made a big decision a few years ago to get a TV-PG rating, which is one of the big reasons you don't see blood on WWE TV anymore except by accident or under very strict circumstances. Vince figured out that adults aren't going to make a point of buying John Cena merchandise, but that kids eat it up. The Katie Vick angle occurred when WWE and WCW were in the Monday night wars, and during the latter part of it when WCW was trying to outdo WWE at being edgy. Really both companies were doing idiotic stuff. The Vick angle, which wasn't a person, but a manequin was one of those 'creative' exchanges.

Anyways I know you are pretty emotional about the AJ thing, and while I don't see it as harmful I respect that you feel the way you feel, so I'd suggest taking that into consideration.

I just got back to reading the last hundred or so posts in the thread and am just wow. An FWC feud over AJ? Smiths turns out to have a couple of the most rational posts concerning the character/person (tha hell?)

Then I get to the end with the HHH corpse rape thing and realie that must have happened sometime between 2002 or so when I quit watching and the summer of punk and these threads when I started watching again. Checks Youtube to see what that was all about... GAHHHHHH.

After that I lost my train of thought.

John Cena getting fired again? Must be June.

2010-He was fired due to Nexus
2011-He was fired due to CM Punk
2012-?????

If we follow the pattern, he was fired for 8 solid days due to Nexus. With CM Punk, he was fired for a full day. That means, he starts the show losing to Big Show and gets fired....then gets rehired during the show only to beat Punk in an extra main event.

If it helps, pretty much everybody involved regrets it and realizes what a horrible idea it was in hindsight.

hobblekitty, I think all of us have made the decision to enjoy the performers and performances we like and to do our best to ignore the mean-spirited, petty, jerk that runs the WWE (and the man responsible for the ridiculous bullshiat like the Katie Vick stuff). And because of that, we all have to decide when Vince's crap makes it impossible to enjoy the actual good stuff. Lord knows, Vince has run me off before.

You are certainly a big part of the fWc, and I hope you can manage to...I don't know...I guess pretend you never heard of that particular story line.

If not, I suppose I have another reason to say #farkyouvince.

2012-06-13 08:06:22 PM
I know there are a lot of wrestling fans in here that tuned out to WWE for a long time, and jumped aboard during Summer of Punk and the fun the Fark wrestling threads were having.

I just assumed that those people always knew and got the "Katie Vick" references, and knew the history behind that angle. It really was a low point in wrestling, not only b/c of that horrible reach of a storyline, but also because Triple H at that time was the Cena of the early 2000s. At that point, they were freaking out because the ratings were plunging on a weekly basis due to being the only product out there, and were upset that the 6.0 share days were behind them, yet were grasping straws at what was the end of the attitude era as Dwayne was Hollywood bound and Stone Cold was falling apart.

You guys can never give Vince enough credit for being a decent person, especially what it's for the sake of his entertainment product. Not long after Eddie died, he was pushing Randy Orton out there to piss all over his legacy. He pissed all over HBK's newfound faith by having the Vince vs. God angle.

If there is something you have that's a personal topic or issue for you, chances are Vince has pissed all over it.

This is actually a completely separate issue than the AJ thing. Let me clarify: I don't believe in censorship and think they should be able to show whatever they want. I'm not suggesting they be shut down or anything like that. However, I would personally be a hypocrite if I continued to watch knowing they are offering this kind of fare up as "real" to the marks out there. I know the marks are few and far between, but they exist. Understand also, that this is not an inconsistency for me personally. I don't, for example, watch Roman Polanski movies, I never will either. It just happens to be one of those things for me, and when I feel I should, I exercise my right to simply not watch that which offends me. I do enjoy watching the wrestling and stuff, and would like to still be able to participate in wrestling threads in some way. But I am pretty soured on the WWE at this point. The "rape" of Michael Cole in the bathroom was bad enough.

As far as the AJ thing goes, I was worked up about it but I didn't flip out until folks got rude. And now I'm backing off it, because it's silly.

Well if it helps it was several years ago. The WWE isn't the same place in all fairness now.

The WWE made a big decision a few years ago to get a TV-PG rating, which is one of the big reasons you don't see blood o ...

As far as the AJ thing goes, I was worked up about it ...

The executive vice president of talentless relations, and the permanent general manager of the Broski -PAC Dougie AXP is a little fired up today. Any particular reason for this behavior? Is it AJ giving Kane the standing mount? Missing Raw? Or did you lose the link to the new AJ gifs?

I'm just trying to lighten the mood. usually everyone likes to beat up on me. I figured by piping up we could change subjects and just get back to the fWc we all know and love.
